Stayed 3 night from April 9th for cherry blossom viewing at Yoshino. It is located 3 min walking distance from Kintetsu station and shopping street. Next to the hotel is Kofukuji and Nara park, where you can encounter wild deers. It is located super good place. Staff is very kind and attentive. 2nd day, we needed to leave hotel early... More

This looks a really classy hotel very close to the local main railway station, ie not the JR station. I had a lunch there. They do cook at the table meat with an immaculately presented range of food to go with it. Price was 2000 yen including tea, starter and desert. Lovely service. Lovely setting. Small choice ranging from 2000-5000.... More

A great little hotel for any trip to Nara. The hotel staff are very helpful with mostly good to excellent english. Fabulous hot pools to relax in after a day walking the sites. Excellent location for all city sites & close to the shops. Western type room very spacious with obligatory high tech toilets. Going back to toilet seats that... More

We stayed in a Japanese style room for three nights. The room was very large with a separate sitting area, a Japanese bathroom, and a separate space with a sink and a mirror. Our room was very quiet. We did not have a view from our room but I did not consider this as an issue given the size and... More

The main selling point of the Kasuga Hotel is the location - almost next door to the Kintetsu Station and the vast Nara Park with all its wild deer. The hotel is pleasant, comfortable and spacious - so not be fooled by the picture that makes it look like a prison. The Western rooms are comfortable and well furnished (didn't... More

We strayed at the Kasuga Hotel because we only had a day and a half to spend in Nara. We were very well received, our room had a private bath on the balcony, which we enjoyed very much after having walked 9 hours through the different monuments. The hotel is really close to the JR train station. The main monuments... More

Kasuga Hotel is mere minutes from Kintetsu Nara train station and a bustling shopping and dining strip, and just across from Nara Park and all the historical treasures around it. In short, it is a brilliant place to stay. The hotel offers both Japanese and Western rooms, and we stayed in a Western room. Our room is large by Japanese... More

My first touchpoint with Japan was Kasuga hotel. I was impressed with the warmth of the staff & how welcoming they are! 2 minutes after you step foot in your room, make sure that you'll be followed by a hot towel and a warm cup of traditional green tea. It takes a little bit of getting used to to take... More

Stayed at Kasuga hotel in Nara during summer. Rooms are well furnished, hotel in great location next to shopping strip and kintetsu Nara train station as well as walking distance to Nara park and places of interests. Almost perfect stay except for the fact that this is a very Japanese hotel with staff speaking limited English, room service menus and... More

This is the only hotel in our Japanese trip where we experimented a Japanese room. The room was large and reasonably comfortable, including the bed on the Tatami on the floor. Green tea smell everywhere (a little too much). In fact tea is offered to hosts in the room immediately after check in (after 3pm). The style is a little... More
