I stayed here with my 4 friends in a big tatami room with futon. The room is very large and has a great view that reminds me of Twilight movie. Hahahaha. The bathroom is average. But you can take Japanese Bath Annex Hotel's Hinotani Onsen in the basement, it is better to relax and take a bath there than in... More

Unfortunately, we planned a full day off around this trip. Checked the webpage the night before - everything looked great. I read Japanese reasonably well and my wife (who IS Japanese) checked it over and we made plans based on it. Quite old hotel. The Ibsen is ok. Wearing shoes to room created lots of dirt and spot on the carpet. Food was good. Breakfast is typical Japanese breakfast with eggs of choice. No soft boiled egg. Room is quite old. Futon is ok.

Although slightly hard to get to (not located near any big cities) this is definately not a place to miss! The scenary is next level along with the open spa which overlooks a mountain, the experience is well worth the long trip needed to get to this resort.
