My new Husband and I stayed here for 5 nights at the end of April. We had a lovely corner room with a little view of the snow dusted mountains. We enjoyed the slightly rustic atmosphere of the lodge and were treated like Old friends by Ken and his staff. We ate at the lodge four out of five nights and the same... We stayed for one night, and took advantage of the afternoon pick-up service from their 2nd guesthouse by Tobu Nikko station, otherwise it may have been a bit tricky to get to as it's in a nice secluded location in the hills. The main room was cosy and we very much enjoyed our dinner there - although you probably wont... More

This place has potential but the organization is today quite chaotic. One day we paid our bill for the whole time of staying to one person of the staff and next day another demanded us to pay again. We asked very carefully about the person number one what was included but suddenly the person number two wanted paid for our... More

Ken the owner seems like a nice guy. I was a tad disappointed that although the web stated they had a cafe, bar etc when I stayed nothing was open. Even the store sign said they were open but they were not which sucked a bit because I was travelling by myself and was hoping to at least talk to... More

We stayed in the Nikko park lodge for two days in November. This was the best time to visit as it was autumn and the wooded hills around the lodge were a visual treat for us. The lodge itself is little far from the main station and town square, but for those in love with nature, this is the perfect... More

This Lodge is located away from Nikko city. They provided the free shuttle from/to Nikko station (either Tobu or JR). It's located in the countryside. In the autumn season, the tree leaves around the hotel will become to red and yellow. It's fantastic. The owner (Mr.Ken) and other staff are very very kind and hospitality. Mr.Ken speak English very well.... More

This Lodge was a great landing spot and I recommend this Lodge for world adventure travelers. The owner's and staff's hospitality made me feel very comfortable and welcome in their casual environment. Staying at the Lodge was restful and made my day's journey through the UNESCO World Heritage Shrines and Temples much more enjoyable. I liked the common area in... More

The place is close to JR station but is a little bit hard to find it because the signage is bad The rooms are big compering standard Japan rooms but building is very unpleasant Air condition noisy and old room need renovation There is no safe place to leave your luggage if you came early and room is not ready.... This lodge offers dorms and private rooms in a beautiful location about 2km above Nikko, with a free shuttle service provided from the train station (up in the afternoon and down again in the morning; otherwise, it is an ¥800 taxi ride or a 30-minute uphill walk). You can leave your baggage at the lodge's town hotel just across the... More

Nikko park lodge is a bit away from main but has great scenery and great walk around. We got only dormitory during peak season of autumn but it was warm. The hotel owner knows english very well. Breakfast was nice. There is a small pub nearby for relaxing time. Woild like to visit again.
