We stayed in the Nikko park lodge for two days in November. This was the best time to visit as it was autumn and the wooded hills around the lodge were a visual treat for us. The lodge itself is little far from the main station and town square, but for those in love with nature, this is the perfect... More

This Lodge is located away from Nikko city. They provided the free shuttle from/to Nikko station (either Tobu or JR). It's located in the countryside. In the autumn season, the tree leaves around the hotel will become to red and yellow. It's fantastic. The owner (Mr.Ken) and other staff are very very kind and hospitality. Mr.Ken speak English very well.... More

This Lodge was a great landing spot and I recommend this Lodge for world adventure travelers. The owner's and staff's hospitality made me feel very comfortable and welcome in their casual environment. Staying at the Lodge was restful and made my day's journey through the UNESCO World Heritage Shrines and Temples much more enjoyable. I liked the common area in... More

The place is close to JR station but is a little bit hard to find it because the signage is bad The rooms are big compering standard Japan rooms but building is very unpleasant Air condition noisy and old room need renovation There is no safe place to leave your luggage if you came early and room is not ready.... This lodge offers dorms and private rooms in a beautiful location about 2km above Nikko, with a free shuttle service provided from the train station (up in the afternoon and down again in the morning; otherwise, it is an ¥800 taxi ride or a 30-minute uphill walk). You can leave your baggage at the lodge's town hotel just across the... More

Nikko park lodge is a bit away from main but has great scenery and great walk around. We got only dormitory during peak season of autumn but it was warm. The hotel owner knows english very well. Breakfast was nice. There is a small pub nearby for relaxing time. Woild like to visit again.

The best part of this place is that it's set in among a lot of trees on the outskirts and close proximity to a cozy but nice onsen. Getting around isn't problem if you like walking or cycling. They serve food and also have cup of noodles available for purchase. The whole place has a cozy, worn in family feel.... More

I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from Nikko Park Lodge as most English reviews place it somewhere in between a hostel and hotel, which I would now agree is accurate. Nikko Park Lodge Mountainside has the relaxed community feel of a clean hostel, with the private individual space of a typical Japanese hotel. It is not fancy, so if... More

A little way out of town but worth the slight inconvenience. Ken is a hospitable and helpful host. Comfy, clean and well-appointed rooms. Relaxing lounge/dining room with warm wood fire. Simple but filling meals. Good all round value.
