Nice clean, well kept room. The keeper was very sweet and friendly and spoke very good English and gave lots of recommendations for what to do in the area and let me store my bag there for the day after check out. Good location, short walk to most temples and near to a bus stop to get further north to... More

Great location - close to all the Nikko highlights. Very nice and helpful staff, suggesting a place to eat local and traditional food (which was totally worth it). Room (western style) was clean and spacious, the hotel has a free Wi-Fi and traditional japanese baths (also very nice). The only comment I have is that the bathroom was a little... More

Basic place to stay but that is all you need. Wifi in room and the sound of running water from the beautiful river out the back is exactly what I needed after a week in Tokyo! Nice trail alongside the river = great morning walk. The woman at reception was one of the Sweetest people I have met.

Situated just off the main road in Nikko. Very nice property with high woods behind. A quiet street amongst private houses. Very nice owners. Walking distance to the temples. Price is reasonable. Restaurants and shops are about a 15 minute walk along side the river. A 10 minute walk to the left when leaving the property takes you to the... More

Friendly staff and clean rooms, but the lower storey smelled strongly of kerosene. Our rooms smelled of glue and the indoor smoking area means the whole place smells of cigarette smoke if someone smokes. All in all a comfortable and convenient place to sleep, and the indoor onsen are a nice bonus, but it's ruined somewhat by the lack of... More

This little hotel is clean and pleasant. The owners are friendly and speak reasonable English. Apparently in the off-season (Winter) meals are not served - just a basic breakfast. Wi Fi works in the rooms as well as the common area. The common area is where meals are served - when available. Guests are allowed to bring food and eat... More

we enjoyed our stay there, the staff was very friendly and gave good recommandations! we also really enjoyed the warm baths in the inn! It is a little far from the train station, but we walked all the way there easily and once you are there all the sites are pretty close!

As far as the necessities are concerned, this inn has them - namely it is clean and comfortable. My fiancee and I stayed in a Japanese-style room (futon on mats) and it was quite comfortable and spacious. The bathrooms are shared, which did not prove to be a problem. The downstairs bathroom has a small, deep bath which was very... More

Nice place, with clean, ensuite rooms. The staff is very friendly and will give you some pointers about what to do in Nikko. Nikko itself is a bit bussy, but still worth a visit. There is a nice, quit trail leading from the innn to a row of budas next to the river.
