We are not sure why this hotel has the designation "classic". There just does not seem to be anything typical, vintage or time honored about this place. The reservation desk was a circus when we came in, very unorganized and chaotic. It is rather sad when the management decides to put the "foreigner" in their worst room, near the elevator,... More

I stayed for three nights at the Nikko station hotel which sits just over the road from the train so is perfect for arriving early evening from Tokyo, The rooms are clean and comfortable with lovely decor. The big beds are super comfy and warm for chilly mountain evenings. The hotel staff were very attentive and helpful. The onsen had... More

The location of this hotel is very convenient to take the buses and train. In addition it has a buffet for breakfast and dinner, maybe you think that it is expensive, but you do not have many options in Nikko for a complete breakfast or dinner and the quality of food and service are excellent. The dinner on Sunday is... More

Efficient (as expected in Japan), clean and modern hotel. Located directly opposite the JR railway station. Breakfast buffet, not included in the rate, is excellent value and caters for all cultures. Free WiFi is available but is a little cumbersome.

This business hotel is directly opposite the JR Nikko station and very convenient for our visit to this region. The hotel rooms are small, but contain all that you need including small fridge and tea making facilities as well as all bathroom amenities. Having the complimentary bath robe in the room was very handy. There is limited accommodation and this... More

Although the name contains the word "classic" the hotel is a rather new and modern place. The room was not very big, but had everything I needed. The shared areas of the hotel are very nice, being new and clean, but having the design of a classic hotel (probably that's what the name refers to). Cabled internet was available in... More

Ideal for a visit to Nikko National Park. Nice, well furnished room. Good, complete breakfast and friendly staff. General note: plan your journey ahead, since the number of stores and restaurants that are open after 19h are limited.

Our stay at this hotel was good. Rooms are fine with enough space and good beds. The airco is loud and hard to adjust as there are no English instructions. The room was clean but the airco made your eyes dry after a night sleep. The shower was poor but if you use the public bath which is great that... More

What i really like about this hotel is the location. It is a few minutes walk from the train station and from the bus terminal to catch the world heritage buses. I don't see many cabs around Nikko and public transportation isn't that great. If you stay further out, i would imagine there will be lots of walking to and... More

This hotel is right in front of the JR train station so it is a very quick walk to the hotel. It is also close to the tour buses to get to the sites in Nikko and if your JR passes expire like ours did, you can also take the Tobu Railway which is much cheaper. The hotel is clean,... More
