We stayed here in room #207 from the 13th-16th April; we wanted to go to Nikko after a 13 day tour and after looking at the reviews we selected this place. It lives up to all the good reviews, the hosts were wonderful, the accommodation is really good and the food is 5 star, have at least one dinner. Breakfast... More

My stay in Nikko was made very special by the superb hospitality I experienced at this family-run hotel. Mine host, Kono-san, and his wife and son run a lovely hotel, all pale wooden floors and architectural features and nice spaces, the rooms being larger than most Japanese hotel bedrooms and very comfortable. The highlight of my stay there was the... More

Stayed here for 2 nights and it was just perfect, great-value for the level of hospitality and accommodation. Kano is the owner and was gracious to pick me up and drop me off at the train station. You'll see his wife, son and even toddler grandson help manage the business. Gives it a warm personal family touch. Try the private... More

We had a wonderful anniversary weekend here. Let me begin by saying that Nikko is a VERY popular tourist destination (for the Japanese as well) and this was our third time trying to secure lodging as every other time EVERYTHING was booked (high season is for fall colors). Secondly, having extensively toured around Japan I can safely say that the... More

Lovely stay, I was brought here by a Japanese friend, loved the peace and tranquility of Niko as a city and also this place. The staff were friendly enough without being intrusive, someone told me there were better place to be while in Niko but this place was good enough

We were there in late October 2014. My brother who came here a year ago suggested me of this place. The location is quite convenience to access. It is about 10-15 mins by bus. Kono san can speak english quite well. we have no trouble communicating with him at all. There are 3 Onsen rooms where you could privately use... More

We were met at the train station by Kono san who then pointed out the highlights of the Nikko. We were told to visit the Imperial summer... More

10 minutes walk from the main shrines - a wonderful small hotel. We called the owner an hour before arrival. He came to pick us up from the train station. He took our luggage to the hotel & dropped us off at the center, not before he provide us with a map & explanations. The hotel is made mainly from... More
