Excellent OVerall! We were staying at tne New Nikko Hotel in Odaiba and upon checking in at the Palace Hotel the next day we found the service to be quite excellent. It may be a little unfair to just give this an average rating as it is probably the best hotel in the area but it is set up more in the Japanese style than western so therefore the rooms are very small and anything other than an overnight bag is hard to deal with in the room, apart from that... 3 times visited Ageo on business trip but chose to stay at Omiya since this hotel was really very good. The hotel service was also excellent. Rooms are really nice & well maintained. Morning breakfast although of little choice but nevertheless is good.

If you plan to go to city of Omiya(Oh-Me-Ya) for any reason, go ahead, make a reservation to Palace Hotel Omiya. I made a reservation by InterNet, about $100 night. Second time I've stayed here and it is probably the best hotel in the area. Then again, the other hotels nearby are coffin hotels and two star/comfort hotels. It's a good and comfortable hotel in a very good location. Shopping options are also readily available with SOGO, Peach John, Fancl and Phiten all in nearby locations. WIFI is available in the room. Its conveniently located near to Omiya bus and Omiya Train station. If you have business meeting surroundings of Omiya or Ageo this is the right place to stay. Unfortunately they don't provide Iron box for pressing in the room which is very much inconvenient for a business travelers. Even breakfast is not English breakfast most of them are Japanese food.

Great location, convenient, very easy access to the JR station and nearby shopping malls. Rooms are modern, comfortable and clean. Hotels in Tokyo are generally small so this was no exception. However, you have everything you need, bed, pillows and blanket are all sufficient and comfortable. Breakfast is also decent. All in all, a good stay.

Omiya Palace is a Very good hotel, Clean Rooms, renewed Rooms decor, Pretty close to Omiya Train Station. I have stayed 3 times since the last 20 years. Average Room Rate i paíd is 13,000 JPY per night. I Prefer to stay at Akabane Daiwa Roynet Hotel for a 8,000 JPY room Rate including breakfast !

The hotel room is well equipped and classy enough for this budget. I was pleasantly surprised by the absence of wifi in the hotel though (i have heard it is common in this area). The hotel is ideally located for shopping and also for airport transfers. Staff is extremely courteous. Try the shrimp in their ground floor restaurant !
