Yokohama Heiwa Plaza is a cheap and conveniently located hotel that is very close to the Minato Mirai Bashamichi Station. The room and bathroom are small but clean. The mattresses are on the firm side. If you need extra pillows, just call the front desk and they'll bring them to you. This is an old hotel, with minimum amenities provided--towels,... More

This is a very basic hotel - clean, practical and much as we expected for the price. We stayed in a double room with an extra bed squeezed in (3 single beds in total) which meant most of the space was taken up by beds. Good job we didn't have much luggage as that would have been pushing it a... More

Not a modern hotel, nor a sparkling tower with great views. But it does the job if you need a basic place to stay and a good night's sleep. Beds were comfy, the room had a TV and a little fridge. Coin laundry on the 10th floor (I seem to remember) and a small lounge area downstairs. Easy walk to... More

Currently staying here and if not for the fact that someone on staff stole my Kindle while I was off climbing mt fuji I would rating this hotel highly. However nothing makes up for basically having to pay double when factoring in a replacement kindle. Hotel manager seemed concerned but after "speaking to the cleaning staff" did nothing to remedy... This hotel is really well placed for transport. The closest station is Bashamichi, one stop from conference and shopping facilities at Minato Mirai. Kannai and Sakuragicho stations are also a short walk away. It is not far from Yokohama Station and City Air Terminal. So if you need to be in Yokohama, this is a very good location. It is... More

The hotel is close to excellent dining and entertainment and just a five minute walk from the Kannai train station. The hotel staff are pleasant and helpful and the room price is a good value. My room was clean, efficient and had a built-in multi-function phone charger for every popular phone. Nice touch!

I stayed for a week, attending a conference at nearby Pan Pacifico, booking my single room at one of the online sites for about $50 a night, very cheap indeed for this area. I caught the train for $2 each day from Bashamichi station (one minute walk from the hotel) to Minato Mirai, so was at P.P Conference Centre only... More

My husband I traveled to several Japanese cities before our last stop at the Heiwa Plaza Hotel. The room was small and dirty the bed is laughable for 2 to sleep in comfortably. After a second lousy night and another major allergy attack and further investigation of the room I noticed behind the bed a large amount of Black Mold.... More

As long as you don't have high expectations, it fits the bill! We paid 8000 yen for room only, small double. We got what we paid for; a small double so didn't get the best night sleeps (I have stayed in several hotels in Japan and this was small even for Japan standards!) BUT... great location, 15 mins walk -... More

This hotel is only 8 minutes away from the Sakuragicho Station and a couple minutes walk from the Bashamichi Station. There are a lot of great restaurants and pubs within a 5 minute walking radius. The hotel itself is in the middle of a little block of side streets, but was easy to find. The hotel sign is made up... More
