Housed in the upper floors of Japan's tallest building, if not for anything else, this hotel can be picked up just for the view it offers from most of its rooms. The best rooms are possibly the ones that face the Mt. Fuji. I got a room that was facing the harbor and the Pacific beyond. The view was terrific.... more

This is a good but not a great hotel. The room was comfortable, but not particularly large (even though I paid extra for a "deluxe corner room"). The real draw is the view since you are so high up. Most of the time it was cloudy or rainy so there was no real view, but one morning I did get... more

I live about 45 minutes away from this hotel, and anytime I really want to impress somebody, visit Yokohama, or just get away, this is where I go. The hotel placement is ideal, with quick access to plenty of great restaurants, bars, and shopping. The view's are the best in Yokohama, and depending on the direction you request, on a... more

The most notable of many wonderful things about our stay at the Royal Park Hotel was the incredible service we received. A small troupe of helpful staff float around the lobby looking for ways to be helpful. They do so effectively and non-intrusively. Example: I walked into the hotel in mid-afternoon needing to pick up my key at the desk.... more

We got a great deal to stay at the YRPH in late May 2009 and ended up staying there twice. We stayed in a standard city view double room (middle floor) and paid about 12,600 yen a night (booked via Rakuten). As many other reviewers have said, the views are great! The rooms are comfortable (biggish by Japanese standards) and... more

There can't be many hotels were you can watch sunset over Mt Fuji from your bedroom wondow...magical! I was staying at the Yokohama Royal Hotel for a week-long business trip and very much enjoyed my stay, The entrance area is lovely and the rooms were very pleasant with great bathrooms. Staff throughout the hotel were also very helpful. Fying into... more

If this hotel was lousy I would still recommend it to people just for the great view. However, the hotel was excellent all round. The service was excellent and the room was massive. They have plenty of underground parking too. The view was just spectacular from the 63rd floor. Anyone going to Japan should just spend at least one night... more

I just got back from Yokohama. Getting to this hotel from Narita Airport was easy - a limousine bus leaves Narita at regular intervals & takes about 90 minutes to the hotel doorstep. The return journey from hotel to Narita takes under 2 hours (including stops at other pick-up points). Other reviews have already commented on this facility & I... more

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Yokohama Royal Park Hotel. The common areas of the hotel are very impressive, hotel staff were very friendly and unobtrusive, there were multiple restaurants within the hotel to choose from, as well having impressive views from each hotel room. Unfortunately, the room itself was less than impressive (above average, but barely... more

As a frequent business traveller, I rely quite heavily on reviews from other travellers when selecting a hotel. I just came back from a two week stay here and I can't say that I was that enthralled with the Yokohama Royal Park. There was the novelty the first night of being on such a high floor (56) and (58) but... more
