We stayed at the Hotel Monterey Yokohama for two nights - it was a great stay - the room was large and very comfortable and the view of the Yokohama Harbour (incl. Yamashita Garden Park and Osanbashi Pier) was spectacular. There are lots of interesting attractions nearby. We recommend the hotel, especially for those who are embarking on a cruise... More

Yokohama is a best choice for those who want enjoy the ocean climat and be just 20 Minutes away from Tokio. We have visited the hotel for a conference but stayed a couple of days for sight seeing. The hotel is very clean, the roomes are big, the staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is fine (combined western/japanese style).... More

We were catching Princess Cruise for a 9 day Ancient Japan Cruise in July 2014 and it seems like Hotel Monterey Yokohama was a reasonable one since it is walking distance to Oshinbashi Pier. But I regret booking in this hotel. Staff don't speak English well. The rooms are so tiny and very old. Feels like a time warp. No... More

Stayed at the Monterey with my teenage son. The smoking room that we got when we arrived was extremely stinky - only bearable with the window open- but fortunately we were able to move to non-smoking room from the second night. Both rooms were a good size, with enough room for us both and a nice large bathroom. Staff were... More

First: the breakfast buffet is excellent. The view from the dining room across the bay was always changing and unfailingly interesting. Dining there was a lovely way to start each day. Secondly: the staff were excellent. Thirdly: the pyjamas were jolly good. BUT: my room - and my friends' rooms - all stank of old cigarette smoke. We'd all booked... More

Average Hotel in good location opposite nice park and near boat to Yokohama Station (seabass). Good buffet breakfast on 13th floor or try Eggs & Things nearby before Marine Tower which has nice restaurant called The Bund.

First the good side of this hotel: First the service in general and the quality of the staff, all very nice and attentive. Second the quality of the breakfast. It as an excellent international and asian buffet. The "not to good" are mainly the room I was in. Not sure if all the room are the same but the furniture... More

A great location near Yamashita Park yet the hotel is worn down to the point where we can't recommend it. The carpets were a bit stained, the walls as well. Worst of all, our room smelled of stale smoke, to the point that I was awake the first night. We figured out the window and air conditioner and that helped... More

We stayed for 3 days prior to a cruise and were very happy with the location. NIce big park across the street with excellent harborside walking opportunities. It is only a few blocks from a subway station with access to Yokohama Station. Most of the local attractions and restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel. Chinatown is only two... More

If you are taking a cruise from Yokohama, this is the only hotel you should consider. You can walk to cruise port in 10 minutes along the sea front. The hotel is 1st class, everything was perfect..I had a very nice double room overlooking the harbor, and I could see my ship pull in...cool. Breakfast was very good, all staff spoke English.
