We spent 5 nights on a combined business and pleasure trip. The hotel is in a fantastic location with superb access to the main and local railway lines. It was very quiet and the room very comfortable and well furnished. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of choice. In the evening you have a choice of probably 12 restaurants within... More

This hotel got me by surprise the first time I used it. Most Japanese hotels have small rooms and bathrooms and lots of noise from arriving/departing guests; this hotel is really as it should be: spacious and quiet. I have suggested many to use this hotel also because of the perfect location: just on top of Shin Yokohama train and... More

I was in Yokohama for a couple of concerts at Yokohama Arena. So I wanted to stay someplace that was close to the arena. The Associa ended up being a good choice. It is something like 600m from the arena. And it is in the same building as the Shin-Yokohama train station which has links to the JR trains and... More

I stayed at The Hotel Associa Shin-Yokohama for two nights at the beginning of April on a business trip. It is about 2 hours by express bus to the Tokyo Kansai airport (they sell tickets at the front desk.) The area around the hotel has all kinds of shopping and places to eat. Everything is within a 10 minute walk.... More

Only stayed in this hotel for a few days on business, but it was wonderfully quiet! It is above the train station, so very convenient and many restaurants & shopping around for all tastes. Staff very accommodating and spoke very good English. The breakfast buffet was typical, but good with fresh made omelets or eggs made to order.

Stayed here for 4 nights as a base to explore Mt Fuji, Kamakura/Enoshima, and Tokyo. Hotel is in the JR station - you step off the train on level 2 and go to the hotel lobby on level 10, life can't get any easier truly. Based on the tips of another tripadvisor contributor, I asked for a quiet room and... More

This hotel is housed in the tower building that houses the Yokohama Shinkansen station. Jump of the train, take some escalators up, and you find yourself in the lobby. The hotel is nice and modern, though the rooms are rather small (typical for Japan). Shin-Yokohama is a couple of metro stops away from the real Yokohama, which is a harbor-city... More

This is a lovely hotel with a very comfortable bed and little touches that make your stay relaxing. The staff was accommodating and friendly and their breakfast was just the thing to get your day going. The location of this hotel could not be more convenient. It is easy to take the train into the heart of Tokyo or anywhere... More

I don't know if it's because we spent 2 weeks staying in budget hotels but when we arrived here for our last two nights, it felt like heaven on earth. Huge bathroom, comfy bed, buffet breakfast's, massage chair, full size bath. Just downstairs is a shopping paradise with clothing, electronics, stationary, toys and restaurants everywhere. It's a little but more... More

I visited Shin-Yokohama for business for a week, early 2015. While the Associa has a convenient location on top of the local train and Shinkansen stations, and thus makes trips around the neighborhood easy, I think I may have enjoyed myself more if staying in Yokohama. The Associa is clean and well kept (like most hotels in Japan). The rooms... More
