Hotel is located within 5 minutes walk to the railway station and about 3 minutes to the main shopping street of Hakone.  The rooms are compact, very clean with small bathrooms and the usual provided amenities one expects in a Japanese hotel. There is a room safe. No TV instructions for watching CNN in English which seems to be the... More

The lobby recalls the glamour of the Nixon era which did not bode well for the room that followed. The room smelled of smoke and the dim lighting created a bad first impression. We were assured that it was a nonsmoking room and on closer inspection the finishes appeared to have been recently updated. The next morning revealed a nice... More

We stayed here for one night and loved it. It's located cross the stream from the train station. The stream, the mountain, people fishing in the stream and the bridge with red railing gave this hotel a romantic and mysterious impression. I liked it before walking into the hotel. We checked-in and paid in the morning, left our luggage at... More

This hotel is opposite the train station and very close to the bus stop which takes you to Lake Ashi. The tourist information centre is also close by and the lady in there was extremely helpful. The room we had was very large, it had a little dining table and a sofa as well as three beds. More than enough... More

Great hotel very modern and opposite the train station and bus stop with private lift to hotel. Has male and female onsen (nude only) no tattoos allowed anywhere in Japan but I snuck in. Only grip I had was no wifi in room only lobby

I booked this hotel online. This is my second visit in 10 years. Hotel was built in 1868 but clearly has been renovated along the way. Big onsen area and typical half board with typical traditional kaiseki dinner and western / Japanese breakfast options. I traveled with my mother so we went for the half board option for convenience. Otherwise... More

The hotel is well located, with a short walking distance from the train station. We went to Hakone from Tokyo, and we arrived around 9:30, it was very convenient for us to leave our luggage to the hotel, and then go back to the train station for taking the sightseeing trains to the mountain. The room size is good, actually... More

We were pleasantly surprised on arrival at this hotel after a day exploring Mount Fuji. I expected something small, possibly with an onsen (Japanese thermal bath), but this place is huge! One entire wing of the downstairs appears to be devoted to the Western-style weddings that are so popular in Japan. Our room was fairly small, but we had two... More

Travelled alone, female. Location - Really convenient. It's just opposite the station. Plenty of shops selling souvenirs nearby as well but do note that they close at 5pm. Transport to the other attractions were convenient but considering that you always have to start off from the Hakone-machi, it takes awhile to return back on the train at the end of... More
