The hotel is about 12 mins walk from the train station. Lovely quiet location with indoor and outdoor spas free for guests to use. A lovely relaxed atmosphere with clean rooms. They are a little dated but for the price; great value for money. Would recommend for anyone wanting a comfortable base to explore the region.

actually, i'm dissapointed that the room i stayed is different from the room i see in website picture, staffs not friendly except the younger one. It's really hard to find place to eat around the inn, but they has noodle house in front of the lobby. The inn is in walking distance from hakone yumoto station but it's not good... More

I was very lucky to be in Japan again in late October early November this year. One of my favorite areas not far from Tokyo is Hakone in the Mt. Fuji area. And, once again, I visited that beautiful and scenic area. I have been to onsens in Hakone several times, and each time it was a wonderful experience. My... More

We stayed for one night in the family room with western style twin beds and capsule attached bathroom and Japanese style Tatami living room and futon mattresses, along with yukata robes and tatami indoor slippers. Hotel offers 3 types of accomodations - Western, Japanese Ryokan (luxury) and combination of Western and Japanese (VFM). The Onsen facilities both private and public... More

As my title suggests nothing to write home about ,rooms are small ,bathroom positively caravan size although all very clean. Our family /friends stayed one night whilst in Hakone . One major gripe we requested a taxi at 8pm to take us the short journey into the centre owing to the heavy rainfall that evening, what the hotel staff didn't... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the hotel part of Senkei Plaza and found it to be great value! Our room was huge. We had a Western style bathroom in room (capsule style so quite small) but used the public baths instead as they were much more spacious. The Public Baths were nice and clean, and more often than not... More

My wife and I stayed at Hakone Senkei Plaza Inn for 2 nights and found the standard of accommodation of a good standard. The property is located about 1 km from the local trains station and is served by a local bus. We chose to walk as the air was quite invigorating. The room was a pleasant surprise as it... More

I stayed at Hakone Senkei Plaza Inn for 3 times already, practically because it is difficult to find hotels in Hakone which is of reasonable price and near train station. So, year after year, I always ended up staying here. The room (with spring bed) is very western, and the bathroom is Japanese style. The size of the bath tub... More

First let me start off by saying that there are three different complexs within Hotel Senkei. There is Hotel Senkei itself, which is the traditional Ryokan, then there is Senkei Plaza Inn which is sort of a Japanese/Western Fusion and lastly, the Yamagaso which is suppose to be more luxiourious. I have stayed at Senkei for the past couple of... More

Searching for a budget hotel in Hakone was quite hard! So I was quite happy when I found Senkei Plaza Inn, 10mn walk from the Hakone-Yumoto Station which is an good entry point to the whole Hakone area. The hotel is easy to find with the map and pictures provided on the website. The staff was very nice and helpful,... More
