Stayed 1 night in this hotel, room came with a nice view of Lake Ashi and the hotel garden. The hotel is not easily accessible, especially at evening time when all the bus in Hakone had stop operating and taxi is the only choice. However, this is make up by the friendly staff and the excellent dinner ( I tried... More

This is one of the better hotels in Hakone. Every room faces the famous lake Ashinoko and the hotel is not far from the bus terminal and lake boat terminal (there is a free hotel shuttle). The room is large for Japanese hotels and well equipped. Everything is clean and well organized. Onsen (hot spring) is small and nothing special.... More

Stayed two nights in the Premium twin room that came with a great view of Lake Ashi. Bathroom also comes with a view and is a steamy mini “onsen with the soaking tub being constantly replenished with hot spring water between 6.00 am to midnight . A real treat, especially after returning from a day’s outing. We opted for the... More

I found the Odakyu Hotel the Yama, which looks exactly the same as the hotel in the pictures here, to be very unsatisfactory. Service was poor, the rooms and furnishing were very 70s with stained carpet and very little in terms of amenities like complementary bottled water or in room coffee. Nice view of the lake and the onsen did... More

We've been coming here annually for the last 10 years. It seems to get better each time. This month we had a huge room with a private hot spring bathing place (onsen). What could be better than sitting in the deep hot Spring water looking out across Lake Ashi and the Autumn leaves from the fourth floor. Service, food and... More

Wonderful hotel located right next to lake Ashi. Lovely rooms which I think have been refurbished and with views of Mount Fuji on a clear day. Great location to the pier for the lake boat crossing too. Complimentary bus from the bus station if required. Beautiful gardens and nice breakfast

We chose this hotel for our one-night stay in Hakone specifically because it has rooms that faces Mount Fuji, and we weren't disappointed. The room was large and spacious and the bed was so comfortable. In fact, it was one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. Made us feel refreshed the next morning! When we booked our... Stayed here for two nights, very quiet and peaceful. Rooms very nice. Gardens beautiful. Rose garden should be a good place for a wedding when in full bloom. Close to port for trips on the lake and to the rope way. Try the desert restaurant close by and see a desert masterpiece created before your eyes ( try the apple... More

The hotel is within walking distance (15mins) to Moto-Hakone harbour, but if you're not a fan of walking they have a small shuttle bus departing the hotel every 20mins and it will take you there and back during the day. We stayed for two nights in a room on the 4th (top) floor. We booked a double room, but somehow... More

Unfortunately we only stayed one night on a brief trip to Hakone at this beautifully located lakeside hotel, following a stay at a ryokan in the town. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful, the rooms were very comfortable and the hotel was a lovely place to come back to, following a day's exploration in the rain. It was comforting...
