I stayed here 2 nights and I felt home. The hosts are great, the place is nice and clean, the onsen makes you feel good as new. I also got breakfast both days and it was good and in a peaceful environment. I definitely recommend this place!

I had booked for a single bed room a few days before arrival. The location is kind of in the middle of the hakone area, so its close to most of the sight seeing spots. Simply take the T-Line bus from Odawara / Hakone Yumoto station and its 3 minutes walk from the senkyo-dai mae station. It is also a... More

We had a lovely couple of days in this guesthouse. We were upgraded to a larger room which was nice as well. Hakone is tricky to get around - almost everything needs a bus trip through the hills - not bad - but not easy and the last bus to the guesthouse leaves early from most places. This guesthouse has... OK this review came a little late, I visited Fuji-Hakone Guest house in Nov 2015. Good Points: 1. Friendly and English speaking staff, seriously they try to answer any question you throw and they are very familiar with local attractions and transport arrangement, I largely depend on them for this. 2. In house hot spring! Everyday I am assigned to... More

Superb environment and location - with multiple eateries and also a 24hr Lawson just around the corner. Staff are friendly, especially Ms Miwa, she was very attentive and gave detailed and useful information during our stay. We loved the private onsen - a must to try!

Great place! The family is amazing, they were really helpful and informative and gave us great tips for hiking and restaurants in the area. Mr.Masami even gave us a lift to Odawara train station (amazingly helpful). The guest house location is good and near the bus stop. Rooms were super clean, amazing fluffy beds. We loved the private onsen.

Wow! Thanks Fuji Hakone Guest House for such a unique stay. We are a family of 4 from Australia with two daughters aged 13 and 11 and we were so disappointed that we were only able to stay here for one night. We travelled here from Tokyo via train, then bus (which was surprisingly easy to navigate) as a one... More

The hills of Hakone were a riot of colours when we visited - leaves were turning orange, red and yellow so it was very beautiful to see. The guest house was very nice to stay in; the bus stop was right outside so it was conveniently located. We got the family room which had its own sink so at least... More

This guest house has a large eating area. The rooms are traditional tatami mat set ups but have nice views onto a wooded area. There is a private indoor onsen that you reserve. There is also an outdoor onsen but you have to pay for that. The guest house is within reasonable walking distance to restaurants. It is also easily... More

A family owned guesthouse run by the same family since the 1980s. Our family group of 3 generations felt very at home here and wished we could have stayed longer. The river runs below the guesthouse and we could see it through the bamboo from our room, which was very comfortable and full of character. The futon beds are SO... More
