We stayed 3 nights at the Hotel Okada. We went to relax, get away from the city and enjoy the hot springs, and that's exactly what we got! The hotel was very clean, and the room was really big! We got a 1 bedroom with a living room and a tatami room. We reserved the dinner to be served in... More

This hotel was part of a tour we booked and was labeled as offering a Japanese dinner and Japanese style room. There are certainly better places for this experience. The Japanese style room was adequately equipped, but air-conditioning was hardly working, the room had a very bad smell and both shower and WC were very small. The Japanese dinner was... More

The hotel is about 10 minutes by bus from Hakone-Yumoto station, you can transfer with one of the onsen bus line (100 Yen bus) and the bus drops you right in front of the hotel. The room we book is very large tatami style room with a living room and a separate room, room attendant prepares your futon mattress every... More

The rooms had tatami mats, low table with legless chairs and futons that were arranged in the evening, which all were a nice experience (but the second night I helped myself to two mattresses...), but the common areas had seen better days and could use a makeover. The dinnerbuffet was plentiful, and I got some new favourites. If you stay... More

Hotel Okada has numerous hotspring baths (indoor and outdoor) to choose from. Also, when you reserve you can choose to have the buffet supper, or for a bit extra, the colorful Japanese cuisine supper is brought to your room (see pic of the delightful dessert).

Best suited to travellers looking for a one or two-day stay. Hotel consists of 4 parts: Hotel, Conference Centre, Day Resort Spa and Pension. We stayed at the Pension. Typical onsen style resort, caters well to the mid-range priced Japanese style getaway. Rooms are spacious, clean, tatami room and twin bed accommodation. Onsen facilities are off-site, 5 minute walk to... More

This resort has seen better days. It is a bit outdated. The decor of the late 70s. It is certainly in need of updating. However it is sparklingly clean with a good attentive service. I had a Japanese style room with dinner served in the room by a server in traditional Japanese dress. This was an experience not to be... More

We got the Star room in the new building on the 8th floor. Private open-air bath, and a little secluded patio. We had convenient access to the indoor onsen and the Yunosato outside. Dipping into the onsens felt amazing. We went a few times during our stay. Our Kaiseki dinner was served in room. Everything looked and tasted great. Breakfast... More

Loved the hotel, especially the bath area, which is an outdoor bath looking out on a beautiful view... If you can arrange one dinner through the hotel. Even though you might not eat everything ( my kids ate white rice) the experience is truly worth it. We had 4 people, and we put a futon on the floor for one... More

Stayed for 2 nights - we were given a room on the 11th floor which has a combination of beds and the tatami mats. It is quite easy to get to the hotel from the train station. There is a bus which runs on a regular basis and costs 100 Yen which will take you to and from your hotel... More
