This is one of my favorite hotels near Tokyo and I stayed several times. This hotel is hybrid of Japanese style Ryokan and modern Hotel which I like. 3 specialities are; 1. The dinner was wonderful and the dining room ambience was fabulous. Wine was a bit French-centric - great wine but with a price. For a Japanese the disappointment was that for a large bath you have to go over to the next door ryokan, which makes it difficult to go there at night or very early mornings. For foreigners I... Tokino Shizuku is one of the top Ryokans in Japan, nestled in a hillside near the village of Miyanoshita on the Hakone Tozan mountain railway.
