Excellent service started even before we arrive in Japan! They sent me an email almost as soon as I booked the room (which was 3 months before the trip). They wanted to find out if I had any restrictions for my meals (e.g. alcohol, allergies, etc). When they found out I was arriving from the airport, they asked very politely... More

I will begin in saying that this place is a fantastic Japanese Ryokan. We stayed there for only one night, but the experience was great. They picked us up from the Motohakone bus stop, and we were upgraded to a very large unit, divided into 2 rooms. Very nice and comfort. The view from the room of Lake Ashi was... More

We stayed in one of the smallest room but it's still big for our standard. Service was excellent, they offered to pick us up from motohakone. We waited at 7-11 at motohakone after our trip from the boat ride. They came quite soon after we called and upon arrival we were ushered to the waiting area and was served tea... More

We had a great time, this place had a great view both from the lounge and from our room. We were also delighted with the dinner and breakfast, which was included in the room charge. English was no problem as they hired a person with pretty good language capability, and answered all of our questions. The onsen is open 24... More

We stayed here Aug 28 2013. The three of us got a 500 sq ft room and were quite comfortable and spacious. Plenty of room. You could really make about 5 rooms out of the sliding door compartments if needed. I think the 500 sq ft room had the best lake facing room with panoramic views from windows on the... More

We stayed here on the 25-27th March. First off, getting here is straightforward but not cheap. If you are carrying any kind of baggage, your best bet is to take a taxi - which can cost anything from 6000 to 7500 yen (depending on the route). But upon arrival, we were treated like Kings. we were immediately ushered to the... More

From start to finish, the service, facility and food was impeccable. We felt very pampered and taken care of. After researching a number of ryokans in the Hakone area, decided to choose this because of the past reviews (thanks to Google translate!). I traveled with my husband and neither one of us speak Japanese but that wasn't an issue. Our... More
