One thing i enjoyed the most about this hotel is it's public bath or the onsen. Despite named as public bath... it's empty most of the time. Overlooking the mountains while dipping in the onsen is just an extraordinary experience. :) We have booked a Japanese style room for 3. Nothing remarkable about that, apart from preparing your own fourton.... More

This was our first stay in a traditional Ryokan. It was an experience I highly recommend. from the onsen to the futon to the traditional meal and even the Japanese robes we loved every new experience. We had views of mount Fuji from our balcony in the morning and the hotel is next to a bus stop that will take... More

This was my first roykan stay during a two week trip to Japan. As a New Yorker I was looking for a short stay that was out of the way of the bustle of Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. To reach the hotel is a bit of trip - from the JR, to the subway, then a smaller subway, then a... More

Fujimien is conveniently located at the Minami Onsen-sou bus stop on the Hakone T (Togendai) line. Since it is located in the middle of the Hakone loop, a bit of planning is necessary if you want to be able to see all of Hakone in two days. Staff was friendly and helpful. Upon check-in, they outlined the locations of the... More

The view sells this hotel, to open your curtains in the morning and have Mount Fuji looking back at you is awesome. The staff were very helpful, typical smiling faces and the food was very good as was the price for our stay. Lake Ashi is close by and a good day out, plenty to do in the area ,... More

location location location! This hotel is breathtakingly situated. You see Mt. Fuji San when you get up, go off to sleep, in the common bath, dinner. What else can one ask for? The dinner needs to be pre booked as there is nothing around. They serve pre set Japanese food with sushis n awesome dessert. Highly recommended for its location,... More

Good price, great view of Fuji-san when the weather is good, authentic experience (baths, food, Japanese room with futons). The place was definitely far from the Odawara train station. We took the T bus as per the website's instructions and it probably took more than an hour because of traffic. That said, the inn is close to Togendai which offers... More

Went with my girlfriend for just one night in a Japanese room (ryokan) . Read lots of good reviews and the price was good so we gave it a go. I would say that the location is not good. I mean, it is quite far from "everything" except for the boat trip and the cable car. You need to use... More

Hotel is easy enough to get to, we both had large suitcases but it was easy enough to traverse multiple train and bus transfers. Bus stop is literally outside the hotel. It's a bit far from the main areas, but good for getting to the rope way and boat tour. We stayed in a Japanese style room. It is very... More

this is the second time i've been to Fujimien, and i have to say i enjoyed even more than the first time. I last visited back in July 13, going to an onsen was a new confronting experience then but now it was something i wouldnt say i am used to but more comfortable with. Its bit of distance from...
