A nice hotel, great view, very clean and tidy, very quiet atmosphere. There is a joint onsen in the facility, and we also had one in our room, with view to the mountains - it was not large but enough for 2 people, with nice view to the mountains. One of the few places that allowed us to stay 4... More

This hotel was our favourite on our whole trip! We arrived in the pouring rain after the long train ride and were soaking wet so the private onsen (hot tub) in our room was amazing! Staff was friendly, and breakfast was nice but it was traditional Japanese incase some people do not like that. It is a perfect cross between... More

*Important* Take the cable train from the bottom (Gora) to the 3rd stop (Nakagora) and get off at the *right-hand* side. Do not attempt to walk to hotel from Gora with heavy suit cases, its up a hill and quite far. Liked- Very clean (remove shoes before entering hotel) Big rooms Interior of hotel and rooms are very pretty (see... More

This was a lovely little hotel in Hakone and would thoroughly recommend. Pros - in room hot tubs! Volcanic waters straight to your bedside. Was so great to wake up in the morning and step into hot spa waters first thing (the pools are constantly filled, i.e. Always hot and full), chill for a few mins and then shower and... More

Transportation took quite a long time.. When you arrived at the hakone main station, go to platform #3 for hakone tozan train - drop off at gora station. Then take Hakone tozan cable car and get off at nakagora station. (** remember to get off from the right side from the cablecar). 5-10mins walk from station to the hotel. Very... More

My first experience of removing the shoes before entering the lobby and i liked it. The whole hotel area no shoes :-) We have the in room open air bath and i like the western japanese style.. In room kimonos ,tatami, etc But I prefer more international buffet for the breakfast.

Having experienced more traditional ryokans in Japan, this hotel in Hakone really lived up to our expectations. The facade may seem a little dated but the interiors are better than expected. We always expected the rooms in Japan to be smaller than average so we booked two family rooms which could've accommodated 8 adults but there were only four of... More

Modern decor and equipped with all you would require. Photos appeared in the website seems larger than the real thing but still good for a one night stay. Wifi is available and also free which seldom to see that in many Ryokans. Dinner was good but not as fabulous as many others which I visited in the area. I tried... More

Superb room.. Clean.. Tidy.. Friendly staffs.. Food is superb.. Great view with private onsen (hot springs bath) not far from Naka-Gora station.. Where you can go top of the Mt Shouzan and go over cable car to Lake Ashi with Mt Fuji view.. Me and my cuzzy enjoying every moment of it.. Price wise was a bit expensive but hey... More

The reason we booked this hotel: that it has a private onsen on each guest room balcony and it's located within few minutes walk to bus stop and cable car station. The hotel is very clean, obviously well maintained. No shoes or sandal is allowed within the hotel premise. We need to take off our shoes, keep it at the... More
