FYI this place is actually called HOTEL RESORPIA. My partner and I loved this hotel. If you want to relax in luxury this is the place that sure won't disappoint!. Spacious, clean & modern rooms. Yakuta provided - feel free to parade around them in the hotel. On site hot spring onsen - pay & do it!! Playroom for kids... More

Best things about resort The onsen (hot spring bath) is quite relaxing. You can do this twice a day if you wish. You pay a Y150 tax per person per day for this but it is worth more than that. Follow the etiquette for this. The front desk gave a printed quideline when we arrived. Location is good- it is... More

Getting there is awesome... wind your way up through the mountains in a two carriage train, then straight up the hillside via cable car and you're there, nearly, if you're lucky the shuttle will be there to take you and your luggage up the very long and steep driveway. Once inside it is very nice and the staff are courteous.... More

We booked a room through RCI. The staff and hotel worked out perfectly for us. The rooms have an area where a table can be set up to eat on the tatami mats. (don't walk in these with shoes) This area was set up at our request with 2 futons for our sons. This worked out great. The room comes... More

Stayed here one night. Room rate was very good comparatively speaking. Room was good. Bathroom a little smallish (prefab style that I find in a lot of hotels). Staff very courteous. A bit of a walk up the hill from the cable car station. Food was on the expensive side but dinner was very good - breakfast (buffet) a bit... More

The Hotel name is "Resorpia Hakone: nice and beautiful hotel, with red brick walls huge compound surrounding by the greenery. Hotel Staff speak just a little of english but were very friendly and helpful especially the driver of the Hotel shuttle bus. It's whole day rain, so kind of him offer me a drive and show me around the area really... We stayed just one night. Our room was clean and quite spacious for Japan - with a lovely view of trees and mountain tops. The onsen was a little disappointing. Apparently the quality of the water is exceptional but I thought there would have been an outside onsen as well as an indoor one. The decor in the halls has... More

I am a regular guest of this hotel and I always find it is cozy and convenient. This place is just next to the cable car station named nakagohra though you have to drop off the right side ( You cannot across the station except when you ride on the cable car !!! ). The way up to the hotel... More

I found this hotel named as "The Resporia Hakone". It is located very near the cable car stop. Just get off the cable cars right side (as you are going up the hill) and it is a short walk up a big hill to the hotel. The cable car stops running around 7:00 pm, so plan for that, or take... More

This hotel is not fancy. It's probably what I would term a "fading beauty". But we loved staying here. For a start, they can accommodate a family of 5 in a hotel room, (with 3 on futons and 2 in beds). The room was quite "worn" looking, but cosy and clean. The futons were laid out beautifully on the tatami... More
