Location is kinda convenient - it's literally right next to Gora station but you have to walk up a very steep road to get to the hotel entrance. However, there is nothing else to do there at night. The only restaurants there are the ones in the hotel itself which is not exactly cheap if you're on a budget.. During... More

We were booked into the Resorpia for a week in Hakone as part of a tour. When I went to the room, I was amazed to learn that there was no Wifi in the room. I inquired to the front desk, in English, then my broken, phrasebook-bolstered Japanese, as if unsure if one language was enough to fully encapsulate the... More

We initially booked the room for 3 people so we had the 2 twin beds and a tatami area where the 3rd person can make a bed. The hotel is old but clean and staff were friendly. Food was ok and onsen on sight a plus. I enjoyed using the Yukata they provided around the hotel. Wi-fi is only available... More

Few concessions to foreigners, but the room was ok ... Reasonably spacious, agree with the airline bathroom comment ( and surely the meanest towels in Japan!) . Fridge, kettle, couch plus two beds. Breakfast was ok, reasonable western options. Dinner , included in our deal, was fine. All reminiscent , with Japanese touches, of a three star DBB in the... More

We booked our stay through our local travel office. Our reservation included dinner and breakfast. Also, we specified non-smoking rooms. Our reservation was for a single room and a triple. Upon arriving at Hakone-Yumoto station, we took advantage of the baggage delivery service. The office is on the ground floor of the train station next to the staircase. Since each... More

Con’s 1. Hard uncomfortable bed (but that is the norm) 2. Cleaning staff were really loud in the mornings and wake you up banging around and talking – they should refrain from this until at least 10am 3. Small pre-fabricated bathroom – not terrible but not nice either 4. The pillows are awful –think a bean bag with only half... More

I had a lovely time at Resporia Hakone. It is perfectly located right by the cable car leading up the mountain, right at the start of the tourist trail that everyone goes through during their stay. IMPORTANT!!!!! SERIOUSLY REALLY IMPORTANT!!! You must get off the cable car on the right hand side when you arrive at the Naga-Gora station. Otherwise... More

The journey to this hotel was fantastic in its own right by mountain followed by perpendicular railway. The Hotel sits right next to a train stop. Located in the mountains with glorious views. Quite a modern hotel with a reasonably large and comfortable room, albeit the bathroom was quite small and had the appearance of being removed from an aircraft... More

My partner and I stayed here for one night in September, We took the Romance Car express from Shinjuku Station using the Hakone Free Pass (if you are going to Hakone I highly recommend getting it). Then we took the local train to to Gora Station, then the cable car to Naka-Gora Station and you will see a big sign... More
