Stayed for a night and chose this due to proximity to Hakone Yumoto station. Fantastic location and we found it without any problems. Staff were very polite and friendly, room was clean and food was good. No complaints from me! We got a room that faced towards the river and it was quiet.

you find there a kind staff, the hotel is clean though small rooms, and it is well located just one minute from the station and direct access to any place in Hakone resort. Don't miss the open air Onsen. Stephane - France

Traveled with my family on Oct 2014 for 2 nights. I may have to say that this place is just for location, location...(close to Hakone yumoto station which is a big plus). It's great river view from the window and the room was pretty clean, however hot spring and meal quality didn't meet our satisfaction! 1. Roten buro (outdoor hot... More

Stayed for 1 night. Excellent location. 3 min from train station with a variety of shops at the footstep. Clean room, but a little small. Would be too squeezy for the typical caucasians. But it's nice to sleep on the futons with the kids and the view is lovely. Wide variety for dinner and really interesting food served. Taste average... More

It is just a few minutes walk from Hakone-Yumote Station - turn left as you leave the main exit of the station and walk past all the shops selling all the souvenirs, confectionery and other eatables that you could possibly want. When you see a coffee shop, turn left and there it is! If you want, you can go to... More

This wasn't our top choice accommodation in Hakone but we were pleasantly surprised! The inn is located minutes away from Hakone Yumoto station and we had no difficulty finding this property. Well situated among the shops, restaurants and train station, the convenience is impeccable. We took the traditional room and had the multi course dinner and breakfast (which they set... More

The good thing about this place is it's convenience. 1.5 mins walk to Yumoto station to catch a train back to Tokyo Station 2. There is a tourist information centre. Yes, they can speak English and they will ask you where you are from all the time which I don't know why. Maybe there is a survey? 3. There are... More

We stayed for 1 night in Autumn 2013. The location of the ryokan is fantastic, a 5 minute walk from the train station. The room had a fantastic view of the river which runs through Hakone. The room itself was large, clean (like every room in Japan :-) and spartan, as befits a ryokan. The evening and morning meals were... More

The location of this ryokan was perfect. It was a 5 minute walk from the Hakone Yumoto station. It was near a lot of restaurants and shops. The rooms were spacious. We were 4 friends who stayed in 2 double rooms. During the day it was set like a true Japanese living/dining area - tatami floors, sliding doors, low table... More

Stayed here for 1 night in Hakone. Very close (2 mins) to the Hakone Yumoto train station. From the train station, you are able to take the round trip (http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e5210.html) via the railway, cable car, ropeway and sightseeing cruise. Unfortunately it was very cloudy in July 2014, and I was not able to see Mt Fuji. The hotel is close... More
