Eventhough it is a big building the ryokan really gives you the feeling of a traditional ryokan with great onsens. I had a great time staying there in early April but we couldn't travel in the area because of bad weather. Have fun!

It is RIGHT across from Hakone Yumoto station, so you could start your Hakone round trip with the Hakone train to Gora then cable car up the mountain to get your view of Mt Fuji, cruise to the port and bus it back in time for you kaiseki dinner. The people there are extremely nice and kind - and although... More

It was nice stay there on July 27.My wife,my 10 year old daughter and I stayed there as traditional Japanese style. Staff were very helpful and polite too.Room was a little bit small but compact for us.Ryokan was a little bit older but location very good. Our room 301 was corner of building, lovely peaceful stream and green forest mountain view.Japanese style... Pro's: - Price is relatively affordable for a Ryokan - Good location to stay for exploring Hakone - Situated right along the river just where a small (not sure what you call it) water fall is located. Could step through the window/door onto the balcony for a nice scenic sight of the river. - Close proximity to Hakone-Yumoto train station... More

Interesting place to stay and comfortable for us in a small cosy room plus a compact yet adequate bathroom. Toilet seat was warm and comfortable. Back to basics but wonderful. Breakfast was served in the room and it was delicious. You have to enjoy Japanese style food and room. We did, plus the onsen was relaxing. Staff were friendly and... More

The best feature about this accommodation is the location, just perfect 5 minutes from the station, next to a river which gives a superb sound to make you sleep like a baby. The staff is attentive and add a lot to the Japanese spa experience. The room was dated, yet well maintained and clean. The private hot tubs at the... More

I feel a little mean only giving 3 stars but can't quite justify 4. The room was nice and a good size. Obviously being a ryokan the bed is a futon on the floor that the staff will set up when you leave your room and was very comfortable. The private onsen was nice but extremely hot, hotter than any... I choose this hotel for it's location. They offer large japanese style rooms which for the price I found great value! You can easily get here from Odawara, so you don't need to stress about travel. Very close to the station to also venture up the mountain. Do yourself a favor and cool the private onsen. For 2000 yen for... More

We booked this hotel one month before our trip, and already there weren't many options left, probably because it was the peak period. The locator is excellent, less than 5 mins away from the station. The room is average, can tell that the hotel has seen younger days. It is nice to have dinner and breakfast in your own room,... More

Located down a side street just a few yards from Hakone-Yumoto station this hotel looks modern from the outside but is traditional on the inside. The rooms are located at the back of the hotel overlooking a fast running river with cataracts. They are traditional tatami mat rooms with sliding doors but with en-suite facilities. There is are two communal... More
