My friend and I stayed two nights at this onsen near the end of our trip to Japan. We stayed in a western-style room, which I thought was fairly spacious compared to some of places we stayed during the rest of our trip. Access to YUNOSATO OKADA was the highlight of the stay. On the women’s side, there was a... More

We booked a Japanese room, our first ryokan experience and it was a good one. Getting there was a bit of challenge, mainly because of our luggage and the walking distance. You have to take the shuttle bus service (100 yen / pax), Route A, at the train station. Tell the driver the name of the hotel you're going to.... More

This is THE good value solution in Hakone, near Hakone Yumoto. Given that a visit to the area is highly recommended, the Mori No Akari offers the possibility to stay in a traditional tatami room at a reasonable price (some 100 EUR for a double). Our room was fairly big and very clean with a nice window facing the sourronding... More

This is my second onsen hotel experience after Arima Onsen last October. The hotel itself is a little far, you have to ride the route A onsen bus to the second last stop to reach Hotel Okada, then take the lift to 8th floor, walk along the hall and up the escalator and then walk uphill some more, pass the... This is my first time to Hakone, totally love it. And I picked the perfect time to come as the fall season provides a beautiful scenery. Yes mentioned by others, it is somewhat complicated to get to this hotel as it's located on the hill behind the sister property, Okada Hotel. And once you get off the train, you have... More

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night. We booked the twin room, but were upgraded to the combined Western/Japanese room. It was very spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The onsen of the hotel accross the street, which you can enter for Fred, are gorgeous, especially at night. There are separate onsen for men and women. Slight downside to... More

My husband and I loved staying at this pension. It was very clean, and had a beautiful and relaxing onsen spa which was spotless right next door. The pictures are exactly what you get. It was relaxing to soak in the beautifully rock landscaped pools outdoors amongst the lush mountains and scenery. I wish I was there now! The dinner... More

Hakone is famous for its hot springs and expensive hotels, and Hakonemori Okada is one that offers excellent value for money. We booked a japanese room thru the hotel website for 2 nights at Y19200 per night which include dinner and breakfast for 2 adults, which i think is good value for money. This is a small hotel, rather old... More
