The only great thing about this hotel is the location and the free shuttle service the hotel offers. The hotel is made to seem very fancy, but really is not. When we arrived the staff was very nice and welcoming. When we got to our room we noticed it was very hot and we were told you can only turn the... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel overnight while on a group tour. The hotel is situated beside Lake Ashi with great views of Mount Fuji. The hotel itself looks like a concrete mausoleum from the outside entrance, but inside the staff are welcoming and helpful. We seemed to have a junior suite and this was very spacious, but... More

Excellent hotel in Hakone with stunning views of Lake Ashi. Great buffet breakfasts !! Good for girls' getaway! Right near ships that connect you to Ropeway and cable car. Hakone Pass includes those excursions, bus and train as well in area. Bus to Hakone Yumoto is worth it too!

We stayed here for one night for our second wedding anniversary. We chose this hotel because of the location and the reasonable room prices. We were welcomed by friendly lobby staffs and welcome drinks which we could choose between orange juice or grapefruits bulldog. The hotel interior are minimalist but very clean and comfortable. It was very nice of them to... More

The hotel is attractively situated on the lake, and a great attraction of the hotel is not only the lakeside setting but also the views of Mount Fuji when this capricious mountain decides to show itself. Unfortunately the weather was mist and rain when we were there, so we missed out on this. This is seems to be the only... More

We stayed here for one night as part of a tour of Japan. Our room was comfortable and had a well equipped bathroom. If the weather had been better I'm sure we would have enjoyed the lake view. The dinner arranged for our group was of good quality and well presented.

The outside of the building is rather like a concrete bunker but this all changes when you get inside.Room was luxurious comfortable sitting area overlooking the lake, the bathroom was cavernous and well appointed. The food was tasty and well cooked.on the downside the free wifi is only available in the lobby and the tea/coffee in the rooms are chargeable.

Location It's my thrid time to Hakone and this is the best hotel I've ever stayed. It's just next to the Lake Ashi pier in less than 5-min walk and it has a number of local restaurants and shops nearby so dining outside shouldn't be a problem (in winter, you need to come early and dine early as shops closed... The selling point of this hotel is its view of Mt Fuji. It must be said though that not only does Mt Mikuni mostly obscure the lower reaches of Fuji from here (such that the classic outline of the mountain can only be imperfectly discerned) and that this is further than other resort areas such that Fuji appears smaller, but... Nice hotel which is more traditional than contemporary. it is extremely well located directly on the lake with outstanding views. Rooms are of good size. Although a winter trip with a bit of snow gardens are nice and photo's of grounds in summer looked outstanding. Food is pretty typical but it was good with a decent selection at breakfast.
