We stayed at this hotel for one night with private onsen, full service dinner and breakfast, all in our room. Wow! What a Japanese experience! It is pricey but you get what you pay for. For those who are not use to open public onsen, then pay a little more to get the private one.

This is a very traditional Japanese hotel. It is an older hotel to remain the traditional Japanese style. The Japanese style dinner and breakfast were awesome. We were speechless about the varieties and amount of food that we were offered. The dining service was beyond awesome and not something you can find in the US anywhere. The hotel service was... We arrived late afternoon and were welcomed very warmly by reception and other staff as well. This set the scene for a great stay. Our traditional room was very spacious. A hostess was on hand to explain the facilities and served green tea then left to allow us to settle in. We enjoyed dinner locally and returned to our room... More

The location is in easy walking distance from the station, even with luggage. Good welcome from the staff, with an orientation tour of the hotel. Breakfast and dinner were served in our room. They were outstanding and gave us a great idea of traditional Japanese cuisine. The lady serving our meals was awesome and tried her very best to make... More

We stayed for 2 nights and sincerely wish it had been more. The hotel itself is fairly big, but it has a large open lobby area, with lots of seats and good wi fi, and feels spacious and relaxing on arrival. There is a lovely outside foot onsen where you can relax and warm your feet while looking out at... More

Kajikaso is only a short walk from the train station. Along the way is the "shopping street" (a very short stretch of shops). You can also walk along to river behind and come from the back of the hotel. The room is very big and comfortable. Dinner is serve in our room. You can select the timing and they will... More

This is a big hotel but once you check in it doesn't feel like it. It is beautifully appointed in the public areas and the rooms are traditional tatami rooms, although I understand you can have a western style room if you want. We had a Japanese style room which was exactly as you see in books, with sliding panels,... More

We loved the food!!! The kaiseki dinner was one of the highlights of our trip. Even the traditional breakfast was good. Room is clean and has a nice view of the river. We used the public bath and liked how everything is clean and organized. My husband didn't like the futon bed because it was too stiff for his back.... More

The location is excellent as near the train station. When you walking to Hotel from station, there have a lot of shops along the street. Hence, you will not boring for the short walking distance. For the hotel, even the lobby is a bit old style but the room with private onsen which is fantastic and unforgetable as the size... More

The location is very good . Walking distance to the train station. A lot of shops on the way so you will not get bored.. Upon entering the lobby i felt that it was a little outdated but when we reach the room it was such an authentic Japanese experience.. We stayed at a tatami room with private onsen. The... More
