My first time in Japan was spent in Tsukuba and me and my husband stayed here in this hotel. It is an old hotel, nothing fancy and the staff also speaks limited English but one can manage. It is situated next to a mall so food option are plenty, incase you don't want to eat at the hotel. The hotel... More

I was surprised to read the reviews of this hotel. I stayed there for one night after arriving from the US. My room - which was in the Annex - was rather worn. Felt more like a dorm room than a hotel. The person who checked me in spoke very little English and could barely understand me when I asked... More

It was a quick trip with just one night at the hotel. Room was nice but small. But it included free WiFi and breakfast. It was a good breakfast and as is the case in Japan service throughout the hotel is exceptional.

Good hotel, good service, good valse for money. Close to several restaurants, bar. Next to public transport (bus & train). Shopping mall with more restaurants & Starbucks in walking distance. Good place to stay. When I get back this way, will stay there again.

This is a great hotel for staying in Tsukuba. While the rooms are small, they have everything one needs..a comfortable bed, good sized bathroom, a TV, hot water maker, and convenience with temperature and light controls at the bed size. The hotel team is personable and friendly, and there is free wifi all through the hotel. The restaurants are quite... More

We stayed here for four nights prior to leaving from Japan. The overall impression is good (very friendly staff, clean, wifi for free in the room), however a few things ought to be improved at this level: - we had booked a non-smoking family suite, the room we got was clearly (or at least used to be) a smokers paradise.... The location of this place is great. Next to the central bus stop and the train station, which makes it very eays to get to Tokyo, the airport or the nearby Mount Tsukuba. The rooms are smallish but clean and functional and they have great breakfast buffet (mostly Western fare with some Japanese items). It is close to the city... More

I stayed two days for business at Tsukuba Okura Frontier. Hotel is well located, central and directly in front of the bus station. Shopping or eating is convenient with many shopping mall easily accessible. Service was good, room was very clean and very quiet, breakfast was correct and for japanese standarts correctly priced. Wifi was stable in the room, and... More
