I suppose you get what you pay for. I can feel another guest walking (must be the room above mine), he took a shower and I could distinctly hear the water and various noises he made (even dropping something). The door is metallic and provide literally (almost) no noise insulation. The wall between room are so thin I can hear... More

The Mercure Narita is a small hotel located in the heart of the town of Narita, within walking distance from its two train stations, Narita Station (the Narita Line owned by JR East) and Keisei Narita Station (the Keisei Main Line owned by Keisei Electric Railway). There is also a free shuttle bus that travels between Narita Airport and the... More

Position is good for a stop over prior to flight. But so are other hotels, find another. Good restaurants in the area and close to train stations. Room below average and poor service. Hard to find someone to make a cup of coffee mid afternoon and evening. Bar full of smokers but no staff, restaurant closed but did manage to... More

Just arrived this early evening at the hotel - lobby looks fine and staffs are helpful but when I get in to the room at the Annex building there you go. The room is ok in terms of size in Japan, but in terms of amenities and the look of the bathroom (the bathroom to be frank is similar to... More

I was in Tokyo but my flight left early in the day so I decided to check in at a hotel that'd be near the Airport. I took the Keisei line from Ueno station to Keisei-Narita and found the hotel is just two minutes walking from the latter, very convenient if you have a big suitcase. The town wasn't very... More

The room seemed clean but while lying in the bath I noticed black mould around the mirror. When I stood up it was very obvious above the toilet. It ran up the side and along the bottom of the mirror stretching above both toilet and basin. If this was so obvious how well had the rest of the room been... More

Pre-stay correspondence was very easy. I did ask many questions about the hotel and they were very eager to answer all of them. From the hotel staff, to the shuttle bus driver, everyone is very courteous. The location is close to the train station (perfect for going to Tokyo), airport, and of course the serene Narita-san community. The hotel facility... More

We landed at 8:40pm at Narita and after some research decided we were better to stay a night in Narita airport than try to catch final train into Tokyo. Especially because if our flight was delay or there were long immigration queues we would have lost any accomadation we would have paid for in Tokyo and had to find something... More

To be perfectly honest, the hotel itself if just average: dated, worn carpets, scuffed walls and furniture, clean and comfortable but lacking in character. They also cater to tour groups and airline crews so the lobby was occasionally very busy and crowded. Breakfast was fairly standard. Rooms are perfectly soundproofed so looking out over the train tracks was not an... More

The Mercure Nirita is located about a 25-30 min. drive from the airport. It is located in the center of the town of Narita. The hotel offers a free bus transfer to/from the airport and the hotel. However, the transfer is only once per hour or less and operates on a variable schedule. Rail service is also available from the... More
