The saving grace of this hotel is that it's in the township of Narita and not out next to the airport with the majority of other hotels. Rooms are very basic but clean. The hotel does have free WiFi and it is fast. Unless you speak Japanese you are pretty much limited to BBC World News as a TV selection.... More

Stayed one night before early departing flight. Located within a few minutes walk from both JR Narita and Narita Station on the Keisei Line. Free shuttle bus to airport is probably the best selling point. We stayed in the annex building as opposed to the main building. The room was dated and tired, a non smoking room with cigarette burns... More

This large hotel is located in the center of old Narita city. Many restaurants and shops, as well as the old temple, are within easy walking distance. Both the JR station and the Kesei station are within a 4-minute walk. The Omotesando shopping street is only 2 blocks away. The hotel is a bit old and the rooms are small,... More

Mercure Hotel is located near Keisei & JR Narita's Station. There is a Lawson convenience store directly opposite the hotel. I stayed in the main building not the annex, that you need to go through a passage on 3rd floor. Room looks a bit old but spacious for me to pack and unpack my luggage. I love the mini fridge,... One woukd expect an airport hotel tp staff their front desk with English speaking people, no?...and although i understand tha English is not a widely spoken language in this country, an international hotel group would do well to make sure their front desk in properly manned...it was actually quite comical...except when I was given a key and room number that... The bathroom is disgusting! Like being in a caravan and stinks of urine. Beds are hard and not ideal for westerners. If you end up on the wrong side of the hotel, the train station is below and it's very noisy! Would never recommend to anyone if you want rest before a flight.

Although the staff won't look at you at the face, maybe for fear of being talked to in English, they are still nice. Room is always well kept, smokes at the 11th floor, nice food downstairs, walk away from the trains, free wifi, sleeping robes, but all channels are Japs. Nice places too within walking distance, including The Barge Inn... More

We like to finish our Japan trips with a night in Narita and that includes a stay at the Mercury. The reasons are:- Proximity to the train station Shuttle bus to take you to the airport (no need to train of taxi) Big rooms - to repack all your stuff & final shopping Late checkout available & can be extended... We stayed just for one night at the end of our holiday in Japan. I think for the price paid it was good value. I travelled with my husband and 10 year old, who shared our bed. The check in staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful, we needed their assistance numerous times to help with local directions, and each time... More

This was just an overnight stay, but I'd recommend everyone to stay elsewhere. The room was TINY, and it was so so hot at night that we couldnt sleep. And the Air conditioning did not work. Nothing more to add really.
