I stayed at this property for 6 nights during the Foodex show at the Makuhari Messe. This hotel had the perfect location as there is a covered walkway that connects it to the convention only 5 minutes walk so it is very convenient, close to the train station as well so it is about 35 minutes in train to Tokyo... This is a very good hootel and the best one in Makuhari. Very convenient the the Makuhari exhibition halls but a long way to Tokyo. It is convenient to Narita airport. The hotel is comfortable and has good restaurants. The staff is very friendly.

We stayed at this property for 5 nights during the Foodex show at the Makuhari Messe. This hotel had the perfect location as there is a covered walkway that connects it to the Messe. There is a Keio bus that takes one from Narita to the hotel at only JPY 900. Should one wish to go to Disneyland or Disney... More

This hotel is fine for those who attend events at the Makuhari Messe. Not a value but if you are on your feet all day for an exposition, it is nice to drag back to the nearby hotel. What bothers me: the cost of 5,800 Yen ($48) to use the exercise facility. Most budget hotels include this service. Tip: go... More

I stayed here many times because of my work. The area has grown a lot. The hotel it self is ok, very small room and a bit out of date. The staff is very friendly, but that's normal in japan, you get a good service everywhere in japan. The hotel is close to everything, mall restaurants, cafe and even the... More

Annual stay for a conference and I can confirm that nothing much has changed from my previous review: Tired and Complacent http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g298158-d301297-r152053043-New_Otani_Makuhari_Hotel-Chiba_Chiba_Prefecture_Kanto.html#CHECK_RATES_CONT No refurbs anywhere (after it already looked run down 6 years ago). One small improvement - they now have WiFi and charge for the use of two devices within the fee - previously it was per device. It's... More

this is the worst and most expensive hotel in the makuhari messe area. There is no free wifi and the overall service of the staff sucks. Atleast have fluent English speaking receptionist who can understand foreign visitors.

The Makuhari New Orani us conveniently located for those attending conferences in the Makuhari Messe Conference Center. It accesses the conference center over a short crosswalk. As a recent guest of the organizers of a professional society, I was given a suite (room numbers xx10) and this room had a sitting area with a large executive desk, very comfortable king-sized... If Hotels near Narita are not available, this is an excellent choice. First, the Airport Bus will get you to the Hotel in 50 min for 900 Yen ($9). Go to the bus counter at Narita...they speak English and will direct you. Previous reviewers were either unaware of the bus or made no effort and thus foolishly paid for a... More
