The Makuhari New Orani us conveniently located for those attending conferences in the Makuhari Messe Conference Center. It accesses the conference center over a short crosswalk. As a recent guest of the organizers of a professional society, I was given a suite (room numbers xx10) and this room had a sitting area with a large executive desk, very comfortable king-sized... If Hotels near Narita are not available, this is an excellent choice. First, the Airport Bus will get you to the Hotel in 50 min for 900 Yen ($9). Go to the bus counter at Narita...they speak English and will direct you. Previous reviewers were either unaware of the bus or made no effort and thus foolishly paid for a... More

The Hotel is very nice but everything is very old,the rooms are very small but clean except for the carpets, they have spots and look like they have been her since ages . The staff is very nice and helpful. If you want to go to the gym you have too pay an extra 10800 Yen to get in,😠 !! I... More

This is a hotel to avoid. In fact you may have to avoid it due to the difficulty of getting here. For an area billing itself as “international exhibition and conference site” the connections to Narita are abysmal, unless you’re into $200 taxi rides. It isn’t worth the trouble. The hotel has small rooms, not very clean; charges $10/day for... More

Went to the Tokyo Games Expo at Chibi in September 2014 and stayed at the New Otaini, The room was very spacious with two double beds, sofa and writing desk, lovely clean bathroom. Excellent selection of restaurants within the hotel, only down side, no free wifi. Close walk to the Expo halls and also the Outlet shopping mall, the local... More

Stayed here for almost a week for a certain program. The hotel staffs are courteous, polite, and kind. Every morning, they will greet you with a big smile. Breakfast offers various choices from their scrambled egg down to their fruits. Their coffee is also exceptional! Rooms are spacious and beds are clean and tidy. Toilet and bath is also clean... The New Otani was quite nice and modern. Great views of Tokyo Bay and the convention center area. The restaurants in the hotel were fine. We attended a wedding and the facilities and food were excellent. Quite memorable!

Bottom line is that I travel primarily for business. At the end of the day, I like to work out at the hotel gym. They have a beautiful facility here, but it is a membership only and guests cannot use it unless they pay 5400 yen per day (about $54 USD). I argued with them and at the end I... More

Stayed here for 3 nights, it is close to the trains station if you are coming in from Tokyo. This is a classic hotel and well known, but it is far from Tokyo but very close to Disney Tokyo and the baseball stadium. But getting to the Tokyo train station is very straightforward. The area around the hotel is a... More
