This is just great to stay in for the first night of the trip. The location is great to go the tourist spots by the canal. The driving distance to the shopping and sight-seeing districts is also short. Tasty food is around.

Great location with good amenities. Very near to the Otaru JR station and Chuo bus terminal. There's a LeTao cafe & supermart nearby. About 10-15 mins walk from Otaru Canal. Anyway, Otaru is a small place and all within walking distance. Provided all day free coffee, tea and plain hot ramen at night. Their Onsen is nice. Reception speaks English.... More

We spent one night here on a three-night trip around Hokkaido. The hotel is in a very convenient spot, right near the train station, and not too far from the sites near the harbour. The rooms were very nice - newly renovated, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Small, of course, but that's typical for a downtown Japanese hotel. The public baths... More

Stayed there one night before our cruise. Very nice amenities in the room, even though the room was tiny and no bath tub. Attentive staff. A bit too crowded in the public bath area with tourists who don't know the Japanese Onsen etiquette, which was annoying. Great location to go to JR Otaru station and River Walk area. Very nice... Hotel front desk staff don't understand English. When it comes to English conversation, their attitude turns down as time goes by and just let you say what you want and then do what they want without understanding and listening to your need. Extra charge is paid when I check in the hotel even I have point out the terms in... More

Spent one night before a cruise. Great location. Across the street from the terminal otaru station. The cruise ship had free shuttle service to the first Otaru station. The terminal is the third. We walked to the dock but it was quiet a walk. Within walking distance to canal and department store. We also walked to the tourist shopping district.... More

The second stay. The hotel was not crowded. Multilingul display on the wall or in the lift depends on the season, oh,wow I did not know. The Russian indication was gone. In June, English, Korean, Japanese,2 kinds of Chinese. ・Natural hot spring(The large spa). The fruit did not float on the hot water in the bath tab. I took a... More

I like this hotel, because -Because this hotel is located just in front of the station, if you move from and to another place by train or long-distance bus, this hotel is your choice. The canal area of Otaru is not so far from the hotel. -Because even after checking out, this hotel keeps your bagage, you can enjoy walking... More

Next to Otaru JR station, at most 5 minutes walk. We booked only 1 night. There are shops linked to the hotel. Surprisingly there is a onsen in the hotel. It's quite far to Otaru Canal, base on my walking speed min 20 minutes. But we love our stay as the twin non-smoking room is very differently setup compared to... More

This is a Dormy Inn Premium hotel which means it comes with a bit more than your average Dormy Inn (which frankly can be a bit of a hit and miss). In this case it makes for an excellent choice. Relatively affordable the hotel is central located right opposite the train station (you won't hear the trains inside the hotel,... More
