If you look for just room with good location, this is the place. The room just being renovated, small like other Japanese hotel, standard Japanese service. Location is superb because near train station and all central attraction. My warning: don't try dinner in this hotel. Expensive with same quality with outside restaurant , and there're plenty near there. Please choose... More

The hotel lounge is spacious. Our 7th floor room is average but everything works well. The room has coffee and tea making facility, fridge, TV, (local channels) and slippers. Bathroom has been provided with toiletries like toothbrush, cottonwool and earbuds besides the standard stuff. A short 5 minute walking distance to the yummy sushi street, the historic Otaru canal, many... More

i walked in at 7pm to have a tripple room for 27400yens without breakfast, very expensive for a very simple room in a not so good location hotel. the hotel has no impressive services nor room and facilities,a bit far from attractions, you have to walk 10 to 15 minutes . many other hotels cheaper than this are in better location. not... This hotel is new and neat. The location is also good, 5 minutes walk to the shopping street, and 7 minutes walk to the riverwalk. Just cross the road, there is a lawson and some restaurant. The room we got is very small compared to the price we paid. Otherwise, this will be a good choice if u are not... More

We stayed in Otaru for only one night and wanted to be somewhere close to the canals, train station and, most importantly, close to 'sushi street'. Authent Hotel was in walking distance from the station (even with two heavy bags in tow) and easy to find. The staff were friendly and helpful, from checking us in slightly early, to giving... More

We have just had our third stay at this lovely hotel - this time staying for two weeks. It is clean, quiet, comfortable ane well run. The staff are, as you would expect, charming and helpful. It is well situated between the canal tourist area and the bus/train stations, so is an extremely convenient spot. Have eaten various meals here... More

We booked this hotel via japanican.com. Our experience was better than expected, given that we didn't want to pay too much for a 2 night stay. The hotel is 5 minutes walk away from the JR station, just above the covered shopping arcade, and very close to restaurants of all sorts, including MOS Burger. Dept store Nagasakiya is also 3... The hotel is very modern and affordable for japanese prices. Parking costs an additional 800jpy for the night. The onsen costs 500 per person, which I felt could be included in the room rate. Sushi street is located pretty close by.

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night during the winter season. Its located halfway between Otaru canal and the train station (about 10 mins walk from either side). It was very clean and functional. Their staff were very helpful and polite. The room was small but I can't complain for the price I paid.

The hotel was pretty nice and modern. The room was pretty roomy, clean and was certainly nice (see photos). The bathroom was also roomy and clean. Views also nice down the street. Staff were all friendly as well. It was close enough to the canal and not a far walk but nowhere really would be in Ataru unless you stayed... More
