Few Americans visit Hakodate but if you are going to Hokkaido, definitely stay here for one night and see the night view from Mount Hakodate, try some food in the morning market, and visit Motomachi. The people here are especially warm and unguarded; it's a bit of backwater here and I found the people more authentic. I found this hotel... more
