Hotel staff were really good. It is a really cosy place. We slept in a Japanese style which is quite an experience. The only shortfall is that it is in quite a deserted place with barely shops around. Breakfast and dinner are sumptuous and tasty.

Visited with 2 companions for 1 night in early Feb 2015, and we were given a Japanese-style room on the 7th floor. Our booking came with dinner and breakfast which was served in the banquet room on the 2nd floor. Dinner for each pax was single-serving sets of typical Japanese dishes, including a seafood soup, (DIY) sauteed meat, and chawanmushi.... More

Tough to locate as we were on a self drive trip. Onsen was good but outside the hotel, there were not many shops around. Good service, though we arrived past the designated dinner time, the staff were very sweet and patiently waited for us to finish off the dinner. Enjoyable stay.

A nice onsen hotel in a quiet area for those in a tour group or with a car. A bit far from the center of activity and main train station area. The spa had a lavender hot pool. WIFI in lobby and in elevator wait areas.

Location of the hotel is a bit off the main road. You need to walk about 10-15mins to the main road for the nearest convenient store. There is no non smoking floor for this hotel so it depends if your "neighbor" is a smoker or non smoker. The fan ventilation in the bathroom is poor and if your "neighbor" smoke... More

I used it by work . A reasonable price to be under 5000 yen per night with breakfast There are a new building and the old building IStay old building. The room did it between 8 tatamis . The tatami mat used the unusually genuine tatami mat for a recent reasonable inn... More

An enriching one night experience sleeping in a Japanese style Tatami room at Banso Hotel. As you enter the room into the foyer, you are required to remove your outdoor shoes (a customary practice in Japan) before stepping into the Tatami bedroom...in the centre of the room is a utility table with two cushioned seats, which are later moved to...
