Best onsen we stayed in Hokkaido. Luxury with best service. We arrived the hotel earlier than the checking time. Our room was face to the lake and quite big. The decorations - unique. Amenities were all provided. This hotel had more privacy and quiet than its sister hotel. They provided free ice cream and drinks in the room. Free milk... More

Our room was quite big, with a living area, bedroom, and a large area for changing, showering, and an onsen bath. There was even a massage chair inside the room. There were many windows and there was a view looking out to Akanko. Nicely appointed and all the amenities were provided. There was a rooftop public onsen too. The lobby... More

This is the 5th time within 4 months staying in Tsuruga hotels. And my last visit at Hinanoza was Oct 2014. I stayed at Tsuruga wings the day before therefore I requested early check in at Hinanoza and I was able to get the room before 12p.m. I stayed at Umi no za Rm 407, huge window overlooking the Lake... We decided to visit Lake Akan a few days ago to enjoy a last bit of winter in Hokkaido. The timing was perfect as, on the night of arrival, we were treated to fireworks above the frozen lake. The room on the 3rd floor faces the lake, and it was delightful as there was snow piled high up on the... More

Hinanoza provides that perfect romantic holiday if you dreamed for. No kids allowed, impeccable service, outstanding food, and beautiful scenery. Your room comes equipped with its own onsen bath which you and partner can share in peace and quite. The room has a great sound system and nice tunes to choose from and all the amenities you'd expect from a... More

Stayed there for a couple of nights with the wife just this last January. Hotel service was excellent, though it would have been better if you spoke a little basic Japanese. The complementary breakfast and dinner was beautifully done and you had a choice of either having it in the privacy of your room or the restaurant in a private... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in October. We were upgraded to a lakeside room and although this was on the corner of the hotel, the view over the lake was stunning. The room itself was huge and had a private onsen, a comfortable separate bedroom and a massage chair. The rest of the hotel was equally grand, decorated in traditional... More

I booked the cheapest room at the hotel with town view because it is the only available room when I made the booking. Room rate is cheaper on their official website, they offer early bird discount, or 5% discount. Check in time 2 p.m., I arrived at 1 and they were able to let me check in the room earlier.... More

Well, to be fair, I had huge expectation on this hotel given the price plus the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. And at the end, allow me to tell you one single huge factor that might make me want to perhaps try another hotel the next time. OK, with the 64000 yen per room night price tag, I was a little...
