We decided to take an impromptu trip to enjoy the beaches in Tottori and were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable rates at this hotel. It is very centrally located and has a Tower parking space and a parking lot across from the hotel. The hotel is clean, compact and modern. It offers breakfast if you decide to include it in your booking. If not you have the main train station beside you, offering some coffee shops and bakeries and Starbucks on the other end. It’s only 15 minutes away from the sand dunes and the sand museum and a 20 minute drive to the popular beaches of Higashihama and Uradome. I recommend this hotel as it is affordable and since you spend most of the day at the beach and out sightseeing it’s good value for money.

Location is near the train station and department store. But since here is not a big town, so there are only a few restaurants nearby the station. The room is small but clean. Bath towel is thick, unlike other business hotel that use thin towel. Free WiFi is not that fast. Pillow is also good, it claims that the pillow is half firm and half soft. You can choose which side you like.

Just a few minutes walk from Tottori station. Staff very helpful and assisted promptly with check in. My room on 12th floor and had a good view of the downtown area. Room size is for single occupancy and clean. The pillow might be a little small and dual use (hard and soft on each side depending on customer liking). Bathroom is small and have the standard shampoo, rinse & body soap receptacle not the small plastic bottles, also small toothpaste & brush. Ground floor is where the breakfast buffet is.

Only 2 minutes away from Tottori Station, this hotel's semi double room is much bigger than other locations. Pillows are one side hard and the other medium soft. Super like! There is a Tourist Information Centre outside the station so if you need help, it's just 2 minutes away from the hotel.

This was my fourth trip to Tottori and I've tried other hotels, which weren't any better. Rooms are spacious and not too dirty or shabby. Of course it is not a first class hotel, so do not expect much. Breakfast is quite spartan, but they do offer some western food and there is a "Mister Donuts" cafeteria not too far.

In Japan's countryside one may experience several types of hotels, sometimes not always the best. This venue was quite OK, clean, friendly and uncompicated check-in procedures. The bed had only one pillow (but guess you could ask for more?). The breakfast, usually the negative side of countryside hotels, was instead quite acceptable and the place did not smell heavily of everything I don't like to smell in the morning, so yes, guess it's a thumbs-up.

I arrived Tottori at 8 pm. This hotel is located next to the station. Convenient store connect to the hotel door. Tabelog 3.51 scored restaurant is just opposite to the hotel. Very convenient. But the only bad thing is strong smoke smell in my non-smoking room.

The hotel is good location only 3 min to the right of Tottori Station. Good base hotel for trip around Sanin area of Japan. Hotel provided LAN in room and Wifi for rent plus the convenience store at ground floor is nice for 24 hour food and drink supply. Check out for Daimaru department store for your shopping and town street for souvenirs and local foods too. Have fun!

Stayed at the Washington for a couple of nights. Its location is next door to the JR and bus station, which are both at the end of the street that have a few restaurants (everything is within a few minutes walk). As for the hotel, it offers everything you would expect from a Japanese business hotel, small but comfortable rooms and a good nights rest. Wifi is available complementary, but you need to ask at reception for the modem for the room. Breakfast was a small buffet of the usual suspects. Communication was difficult, but the staff were very helpful.
