We staid 3 nights at Dormy Inn Express and was very impressed. The facilities are very new and it is only 5 minutes walk from the train station, the car rental we used was right across the road. We booked a queen room and it is double size of the regular, there was a sofa and ample space for hanging... More

Thank you for staying at Dormy-Inn Express Matsue. We apologize that can't see views in most of room and our parking is non reservation. But, we are glad that you still was comfortable spend. We serve free noodle, and free Wi-Fi, it offers a comfortable service. Also I will strive to be loved by our customers. I'm looking forward to... More

Lovely staff, good welcome, gadget laden room with all one needs for a good nights sleep. Try and get a 10th floor odd numbered room ( we had 1007) as these have views of the water . Excellent wine shop ( turn right out of hotel , one block up) . Couple of decent Italian restaurants if you're tired of... More

This is a great hotel with great cleanliness and good shower, bath and facilities. We booked another hotel (Matsue Tokyu Inn) which was disgusting and so decided to cut our losses and book a room in Dormy. The contrast was extreme and we were delighted. The front office staff were also very helpful when attending to our needs. We stayed... More

We really enjoyed this friendly, quirky hotel, which is about a 5 minute walk from the train station. It is a business hotel catering for quick turn around, so the rooms are small. We had a twin room giving us more room and the bathroom with seperate toilet was great. There is even a television at the end of the... More

I made my reservation online about an hour before I arrived at the hotel. Price was about JPY12,000 which is quite a lot, but I was happy to have found somewhere reasonably central. It turned out that I needed to stay an extra night but this only cost JPY6,000. It seems that booking over the internet with Agoda etc is... More

Unusual hotel. Staff were friendly. The room was the smallest we stayed in whilst touring Japan. You could nearly touch the building next door from the window. Offered noodles after 9.30pm, didn't try, but there were people having the noodles when we walked in from dinner.

This was the quirkiest hotel we have ever stayed in in Japan. Close to the railway station the amenities are all excellent. The free coffee in the lobby and the free noodles at 9.30 pm at night are both great. We even got free apples offered and gratefully received. The staff were efficient friendly and hospitable. The Breakfast staff were... More

It's a good hotel in the mid-priced range. The room is small as in most Japanese hotels but comfortable and clean. Wi-Fi signal is perfect and their English is pretty good. It's a 5-minute walk from Matsue JR Station, with a big sign, easy to find. And ask for directions to the nearby restaurant Akanedoki if you like fish. It's... More

Excellent little hotel, spotlessly clean and new. Well placed close to the station- less than 5 minutes walk. I stayed for 5 days in summer, when it was mainly occupied with families with young children. Evening free noodles were popular (and good) and the breakfast very good. Overall excellent value for money with the usual amenities of such a hotel... More

Going on the assumption that any "business hotel" in Japan will have small rooms and basic furnishings, this Dormy Inn Express fits the description. With that in mind, we found it to be an outstanding value. The rooms are modern with most amenities a traveler would require today. The Japanese-style room baths are especially nice and up to date. Service... More
