We had a great Japanese/Western room (i.e. western beds in one half, tatami mats in other for in room dining). The room was very good, the dinners excellent, and the staff, led by Hiroshi Yamauchi, wonderful. The staff, was so helpful and friendly, especially Hiroshi Yamauchi, who spoke English. He actually waited for us for each meal, escorted us, and explained all the food to us! We felt so... More

This was by far the better of the two traditional onsens that we stayed at. The service was second to none. We were allocated an English speaking employee who explained everything to us and made us feel very welcome. Champagne, fruit, tea and a traditional sweet was served to us in our room on arrival. Our luggage was sent on... More
