My wife and I stopped by two days at Okayama. We stayed two nights at the Granvia Okayama and enjoyed the hotel immensely. The staff is courteous and friendly, while our room (two single beds) is clean and spacious. The hotel is very convenient as it is connected to the JR station and lots of eating places, food stalls, and... More

I stayed there 2 nights. The location is perfect, you don't have to go out of the station. The hotel is accessible from an interior passage. The hotel is very modern with all the commodities. Room was very clean, large comfortable. I will return ..

I'm not sure good old Trip Advisor has ever steered me wrong, but in this case, I will say a no thanks to Granvia. It is truly an 80's masterpiece: shiny brass, green marble, bizarre colors & patterns and old school lighting. We are on the 15th floor - maybe some floor have already been renovated?? Ask before you book!... More

What a great find! we were recommended here by friends and are so glad they did! Okayama is a fantastic spot to explore from. The Granvia hotel Okayama is located right on top of the train station so it is easy to catch the Shinkensan or local trains anywhere! Not to mention the fantastic restaurants & food shops right at... More

The Granvia is a large modern hotel at the Okayama station. We booked a twin room which was large and bright and spacious bathroom but windows do not open. While they offered free wifi, the signal was weak and we could only access it by going to the door or out in the hall. We were in room 1616. There... More

I would guess that most American travelers to Japan visit only the 2 big cities, Tokyo and Kyoto. Don't get me wrong, both cities are definitely worth the visit but allow some time to go further west and south. Okayama, a mere 3.5 hour ride on the Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo, is a wonderful city with top rated gardens... More

Bullet train from Osaka to Okayama is just under an hour. As you exit from station gates, just walk straight ahead on the same floor. It's sign posted in English. You pass some shops and the covered walkway is just below the bullet train alongside the bus terminal and taxi rank which takes you directly to the hotel's 2nd floor... More

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Though I had never stayed at one, I know this brand from my time living in Japan - nice business hotels usually located in a building attached to the central train station. After time on the train, it was refreshing to simply walk through the station to our hotel. The staff were very courteous and... More

Owned and operated by JR West, the Granvia Okayama is located just adjacent to the train station. There are a number of restaurants to choose from at the hotel, which complements the cheaper eateries at the train station complex. The single rooms are a relatively good size, considering the small rooms in business hotels in Japan. It actually accommodates a... More
