This was the second of three hotels that I stayed at during my trip to Japan. The only negative that I can say was that the absence of a room safe was an irritant. I spent about 10 days at this hotel, it was overall good. Clean, reasonable price and central, great for walking around. I moved around so I stayed for a few days, travelled then returned. We decided last minute to visit Okayama, and we very happy with the decision we made. Hotel is budget, but adequate for a nights stay. We visited the Castle and the gardens. The gardens are a must see, they are beautiful. Would recommend if your looking for a no fuss hotel.

Great hotel just a block from JR station (mostly underground walkways/shops to get there. (Great helpful english-fluent lady in the Tourist Info office under the station). It is located near the JR train station and the main attraction (the castle). Surrounding has a lot of convenience stores and restaurants. At night, it is a bit noisy. Given the price, this is a great hotel in Okayama. Just a few minutes walk from east east of Okayama Station, Okayama Washington hotel is not too far away from Okayama Station and Okayama Prefectural Museum.
