This is a lovely hotel, great service from the front desk who showed us the way to the garden. When we came back our bags were in our rooms. Room spacious clean and has everything you need. Bed comfy. Well located within walking distance of the station, garden and restaurants. Highly recommended!

Now here's the deal. In the rare event u have to be in Okayama, then u want to stay at the Koraku hotel. U can walk from the train station. U can even walk the opposite direction from the hotel to Korakuen garden or okayama castle. If too cold or windy to walk, take the 100 yen tram or indulge... More

Such a delightful place to stay. However, it took us one night to find out. The hotel itself is simply great but it has very hard beds and we didn`t get much sleep the first night and woke up with back and hip aches. In the morning we ashed for softer pillows and mattress, which was fitted when the room... More

The Hotel is centrally located close to JR station. In front there is a charming little river with promenade. We had one of the corner rooms, which was huge, not only for Japanese standards, and had a nice sitting area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great base for sightseeing Okayama, Naoshima and Kurashiki.

Excellent location, close to train station and lots of places to eat near by. Room was large and clean. We had a massage chair in the room which was a bonus. Bed was extra hard! But you do get use to it after a while. We had to ask for soft pillows and the staff brought them up to us... More

The hotel seems to have a problem with its name because both spellings appear on and around the place and caused us to wonder whether we had the right hotel at first. . However the reception was welcoming and efficient with a very handy local map and other needed information being offered before being asked. Our corner twin room was... More

Thank you very much for the five star review! We are sorry to make you confused about the spell of the name of our hotel. "Kooraku" is our logo and "Koraku" is our name to be used for web-site mainly, because in this way the name of our hotel can be pronounced closer to Japanese pronunciation. As we have more... More

We travelled by Shinkansen [bullet train] from Hiroshima to Okayama and walked the short distance maybe 5 or 6 minutes to the hotel. We had booked on the net and checking in was easy, we found the staff very helpfull . The room was not a bad size, warm and comfortable. We ate out that night and slept well. Next... More

Great location, only a couple of blocks from the train station, so easy walk. We booked online and couldn't figure out what the different room configurations were so booked the "Hollywood" room...it was fine...there were rooms advertising "massage chairs", would have loved one of them, but the Hollywood didn't have one :-( Never the less, they did have an English... We found an incredible deal on tripadvisor, which somehow took me to a few different links. We finally found a link that allowed us to book a room without doubling the price for my husband and I (very common in Japan for the rate to increase or double per person added). With that said; the proper spelling for this hotel... More
