The hotel is near the pretty lanes of kurashiki river. Coming back to a very poor bathroom with thin towels, this was not great. The furniture look like needing a quick change,. The service is very good. I had a pressure massage in my room , cost $38 for 40 minutes, it was good.

Great service, lovely location right by the historic Bikan district. Softest bed yet in Japan (ie not rock hard but firm). Beware most of the town's museums and evening meal restaurants are closed on Mondays! There was a large conference when we were there but having breakfast after 8 am meant the restaurant was virtually empty. Nice room, felt luxurious... More

My friend in tokyo recommended this hotel. The location is just fabulous, only steps away from the Bikan Historical District is the perfect base to explore the old town. The room was good and the price also. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Some speak English. The train station is about a 10 minute walk away (without luggage) or... More

We arrived to Karashiki by train and the hotel is just at a walking distance. It is located on the main street and next door to the Ohara Museum of Art. The rooms are large more than the regular Japanese hotels, the breakfast was very good with large section of western and Japanese food. The lobby is very good decorated... More

A quaint hotel about 1/2 mile from the train station. There is also a large mall in that same area with pretty much everything you could want. Lawson's and 7/11 also just down the street. It does have a nice central lobby and a friendly staff. I really had only 2 issues. First there is wifi only on the first... More

The middle of June, I went to Kurashiki to celebrate mom's birthday. We have been to Kurashiki several times and she likes the classical atmosphere of Kurashiki. In advance I got in touch with the hotel to ask for a nice room for mom and they gave me a quick response that they would try to fulfill my request. On... More

We stayed at the hotel as part of a tour group. The room was very comfortable and very satisfactory for our stay. Breakfast was served in the dining room that overlooked the wisteria garden. Very pretty. Good selection of food for breakfast, both Western and Japanese. Helpful attentive staff. No wifi available, but then some of the places we stayed... More

This is an excellent option to stay in Kurashiki (I have stayed there a few times in the last years). Very quiet and well-maintained hotel, a few hundred meters from the JR station (just walk through the main avenue). Very good and attentive staff (they speak English too). Rooms are quite large for Japan and well equipped. Excellent breakfast, with... More

It's right next to the bikan area so a very convenient place if you want to visit bikan area. Hotel room is so so. Our tour guide said it's better than Nikko Hotel but I wonder about that. Though it is said to be the best hotel, it's actually very average. We only stay there because of the tour. If... More

Room is like Japanese "Showa" era, 70s or 80's, with very antique TV and desk set, interior, only price is up-to-date modern flavor. Staffs are mostly busy for taking care of large groups and no care about loud party. Good location at Kurashiki city center but all restaurant are unreasonable expensive. Car parking staff never remember us during our 10days... More
