This is one of the nicest hotels we stayed at during our time in Japan. Traveling by train during the Cherry Blossom season in early April, we lucked upon the Kurashiki Kokusai Hotel by chance, since not much was available according to the visitor's center information. The hotel is a short 5 block walk from the train station, but right... More

The hotel is centrally located. Only few minutes walk to the main train station. The rooms are nice with large comfortable beds but without wifi. You have to go to the lobby to get a wifi signal. There is a FamillyMart store just across the street. It is open 24h.

The hotel is older and modest, with very large rooms (2 doubles with lounge area and plenty room to spare). Hotel location is FANTASTIC. Literally steps away from the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter which is a must-see, and a 10 minute walk from the Kurashiki station.

This classy hotel has enjoyed a lot of prides and fame for many years in Kurashiki, having accommodating imperial families when they visit. I and my wife are looking forward to staying in this hotel. This rather old establishment still is the most popular sites of local weddings and memorial services and is cherished by local community. Our room 407... More

About a 7 minute walk straight down the main street from the station, dead flat. Chose a twin room to maximise the size and it was spacious by any standard. Friendly and helpful staff and the perfect place to to walk through the Bikan district which is so peaceful. Went looking for the Momotaro(peach boy) museum and found it eventually... More

The location cannot be beaten- its right at the hear of Bikan area, behind Ohara museum, with great access to all of the shops and galleries. Its also walking distance to restaurants. The rooms are little old and the interior is as well, but the staff were nice and friendly.

The air-conditioner is not large. When i left my room, the door lock was broken and i went to ask for help. They sent one guide to take a look, then they asked an engineer to repair it. They did not change another room for me. It happened at 1:30am. I waited him to repair until 2 am more. :(

The hotel is near the pretty lanes of kurashiki river. Coming back to a very poor bathroom with thin towels, this was not great. The furniture look like needing a quick change,. The service is very good. I had a pressure massage in my room , cost $38 for 40 minutes, it was good.

Great service, lovely location right by the historic Bikan district. Softest bed yet in Japan (ie not rock hard but firm). Beware most of the town's museums and evening meal restaurants are closed on Mondays! There was a large conference when we were there but having breakfast after 8 am meant the restaurant was virtually empty. Nice room, felt luxurious... More

My friend in tokyo recommended this hotel. The location is just fabulous, only steps away from the Bikan Historical District is the perfect base to explore the old town. The room was good and the price also. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Some speak English. The train station is about a 10 minute walk away (without luggage) or... More
