Located just a few minutes walk from the train station this hotel was ideal for a short stay in Fukuyama. The room was modern and clean and the staff at check-in were helpful and pleasant. The option to select extra items for the bathroom such as bath oils was an unexpected treat. We would certainly visit this hotel again.

The hotel is located perfectly, just 1 minute to the JR station, Shinkansen station and Bus Terminal, so if you arrive in Fukuyama, you are most likely already close to it. I tried two other hotels close by, but Richmond is my choice from now on. Shortly said, its a quite modern "neutral" style hotel. The checkin is not on... More

Richmond is a chain of business hotels, and if you plan to stay on several of them, I recommend you to sign up for the bonus program as it seemed to give you a discount quiet early on in the scheme. I wouldn't recommend it though, unless you're actually travelling for business. The hotel is located right across the railway... More

We booked the hotel on the internet and because we are a family of four, we also booked a fold out bed because the room said it slept 3 people. After arriving late at night we went up to our room to find it didn't sleep three people but only two so we were a bed short. After quizzing the... More

Enjoyed the traditional and western breakfast offerings. Room was clean, staff was excellent and location to train station, resturants and my business customer were outstanding. The only negative was no dresser for placing clothing. Living out of a suitcase for six days was somewhat tedious.

I have traveled to Fukuyama and stayed at a few hotels and this is the best hotel in terms of a business hotel. Clean, modern rooms. Decent size bathroom. They even have an iPod dock and a universal cell phone charger. Breakfast is simple and small but it is good quality.

Room was better than Newcastle Hotel which I used to stay before trying out Richmond Fukuyama. Internet speed slow down in the evening which is what I do not like. No entrance for Hotel on roadside and therefore no Taxi waiting outside like Newcastle Hotel. No good resturants or shop inside Hotel. Newcastle Fukuyama was better on payment as they... More

Normally I stay in the one close to Fukuyama station. This time I stayed first time in the Richmond. Can recommend it. Bathroom bigger and more modern than the typical standard Japanese business hotel bathroom ("the plastic one"). Room size OK for a Japanese hotel, where the rooms are quite small in general. Good service! I cannot judge the English... More
