Toyama is no great place in itself, but it is a good place to start the Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine route, which I recommend taking – train, bus and cable car across the Alps. The Hotel is just a few steps from the Toyama train station. It's conveniently located with a shopping mall next to it and plenty eateries just outside the hotel. Location - the hotel is located within 3 minutes' walk of the JR Toyama station, which also houses a mall (Marier) that sells mainly ladies' fashion, some eateries, and a supermarket.
