Toyama is not the most exciting place in Japan. We stayed two nights and visited the castle (very close to the hotel) and the nearby beach. The hotel is clean and conveniently located. The baths on the top floor is great. The hotel has coin laundry. The town is quite lively at night and offers fabulous sushi.

This is really quite a good value for money hotel - room is small yes, but for that price to be expected so one still is comfortable for a day or two staying unless you have bulky luggage. We had a western style bedroom with an attached bath/shower staying for one night. The treat as all reviewers earlier mentioned is... More

Like most of tourists here, we stayed in Toyama for transit before visiting Tateyama. Location 15 minutes walk from Toyama JR station, or you can also use the tram. It's only 2 stops away and you only need to pay 200 Yen one way. If you bring your heavy luggage, wait for trams with lower platform. SCORE: 7/10 Reception Very... More

Staff knows less English than usual in Japan. To have Wifi in room uneed to get router and rent a LAN cable. The hotel offers forwarding of luggage on the Alpine route (u cant carry it). Before booking hotel in Toyama search which hotels have it). "Forward luggage Tatayama alpine road"

have a great pubile bath at the roof floor. city view can be seen up there. breakfast is good too.10 mins walk from the train station, not too hard to find. next to the hotel there are few pricey restaurants, and not too far from a wide range of choices of restaurants.

We followed a group tour to Tateyama Kurobe Alpine and only stayed 1 night in the hotel. Nice and clean hotel. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful but with limited english. The room was a little bit smaller than expected. On the good side.. the hotel provides a hotspring public bath for guest :)

The hotel is equipped with public baths on its top floor. We stayed for two separate nights at the hotel; one was on week day, and the bath was empty and enjoyed by myself alone; while the other stay was on weekend, the bath was extremely crowded, making it a less enjoyable experience. But overall, the public bath is great.... More
