This hotel is located at Shizuoka station and super easy to access from the trains! We stayed here as it is an old favorite of my travel buddy who used to live in Shizuoka. The rooms were very nice and had great beds. The room was much bigger than I expected. We also enjoyed the beer vending machines.

Pros: 1. Value of money! 2. Full amenities in the room! 3. Location beside the station. Loads of food in the nearby mall. Cons: 1. Maybe they can improve on the reception area where there's not enough seats for people when they check in. If you're in town. Stay here!

While Shizuoka is not the nicest of towns, the Associa Shizuoka really is a gem. They are trying hard to please their guests. Rooms are large for Japanese standards and was always spotless clean - as was the bathroom. Even though the Associa is located right at Shizuoka Station, noise is no issue at all. The rooms are soundproof and... More

Stayed here for 2 days in November 2014 I have stayed at Associa Hotels in other locations before and have always been satisfied with the accommodations. No issues with getting a non-smoking room which other reviewers have mentioned, although I wonder if they are sometimes booking with 3rd party websites that don't give you a choice on that matter. My... More

I've stayed at the Associa Shizuoka last year. It has maintained its high standards and added to it with minor room upgrades to the lighting controls and the wifi. The rooms are relatively spacious for Japanese standards and the furnishings very comfortable. Bathroom amenities are high quality and the bathrooms themselves spotless. In addition to the rooms themselves the hotel... More

Booked a non-smoking room for 3 nights and found that the hotel gave us a smoking room when we unpacked everything. Right after we saw a matchbox on the table, we asked for non-smoking room because we have two kids, 4 years old daughter and 13 months old son. I was angry at the front because they knew that we... I stayed here for work (visiting Shizuoka Children;s Hospital). This hotel is a short walk from Shizuoka station. The check -in was efficient and courteous as always. The room was large by Japanese standards. It was spotlessly clean and well appointed. The view was not fantastic but on a clear day you could glimpse Mt Fuji in the distance. Food... More

Travelled to Japan during April 2014, and Shizuoka was my second stop after Tokyo, after which I continued to Kyoto and Hiroshima. Out of all 4 hotels, Shizuoka was the second best. In terms of the size in Japanese standards, the room is relatively large and comfortable. My boyfriend and I were so relieved at seeing a large room where... More

My wife and I stayed one night in a twin and were very happy with the room. The hotel is clean and is an easy 3 minutes from the JR station. Our room faced Mt. Fuji but it was overcast and did not get to see the mountain. Plenty of places to eat at the JR station if you do... More

We first visited at Christmas 2012, and returned recently. The hotel is still as comfortable as before, with reasonable sized rooms, and we'll still recommend it. One great development is that there is now free Wifi in the rooms, whereas before it was just in the lobby.
