My son and I stayed for three evenings and were very satisfied with our accommodations. The breakfast buffet was excellent offering both American and Japanese cruisines. The hotel is located across the tracks from the train station...very convenient. Our view of Mt Fuji, winter snow capped, was spectacular on several clear sky days. The service was excellent, the rooms clean,... More

Lovely hotel located just across the street from the train station. Convenient to tons of restaurants and shopping. Great view of Mt. Fuji. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. Rooms were clean, comfortable, quiet with good amenities. The lounge upstairs is great-beware of the cover charge, though--yikes! We ate at the restaurant each morning, which was fine. We had friends... More

I just stayed at the Hotel Century Shizuoka for four days on business and I was very happy with the hotel. I don't speak Japanese but that was not a problem. All of the staff at the hotel were very friendly and they were happy to answer any questions. They always greeted me warmly when I went to the front... More

I've been coming to Shizuoka for over 20 years and I've got to say that the Century has become like a home away from home as it is superior accomodation to any others I have stayed in Shiz. It offers breakfast (essential if recovering from a hard night on the Sake), Lunch and dinner. The kitchen was held open for... More

If you hate pretentious staff and over the top hotels, this hotel will be perfect for you. my room had a panoramic view of Mt Fuji and the southern alps and it's the first hotel I see when I step out of the shinkansen. The room is also spacious by Japan's standards and the staff are polite and quick in... More

Walking distance to the main Shinkansen station Shizuoka. The hotel side doesn't offer much options for dining or shopping, but a bit of walk toward the other side of Shizuoka station will offer plenty. The check-in starts from 3pm and we arrived a bit early, so left the luggage with the hotel and decided to walk around the station area.... More

As other reviewers have mentioned, it IS across from the train station. If that is the most important attribute for your selection, then definitely stay here. My room had a fabulous view of Mt. Fuji, which is a definite plus. But, for me,there were some definite downsides. I acknowledge that the hotel is not in the U.S. And therefore the... More

The hotel was nice for a quick overnight. Rooms were clean, small and suitable. Pillows felt like stuffed with beans. No irons or ironing board in room. Executive lounge very limited. Staff was friendly and limited English. Lots of restaurants and shopping close by. Train station across street. Clean place and close to everything. Nice place for short stay

I have stayed at this hotel twice - once in 2010 and in May 2014. The rooms are quite generous in size, clean and well equipped with comfortable chairs, coffee table, a work bench and a queen sized bed. The room also features a bar fridge, room telephone and hi speed wifi internet included in the tariff. I found the... More

What an excellent hotel – great service, excellent rooms, higher- priced than business hotels but you get a lot for the difference and well- worth it. One of my sons and I were bicycle touring, and you can imagine that at the end of a 100-km day after going over the hills and such, we were not the most dapper-... More
