We stayed at K's House Ito Onsen for two nights and really enjoyed the place, the facilities, and the friendly staff. It's an old, beautiful building and you feel transported to previous times without having to sacrifice any comfort. The Ryokan has a main communal onsen which is kept hot (40C), and several small private ones on each floor that... More

This was a great ryokan in a lovely part of the country. Very scenic with some lovely attractions locally - nice for an overnight stop off. Great facilities in the hotel - very laid back, backpacker type vibe. Really helpful staff. Our room was really nice - very authentic. We had a river view with a balcony and there was... More

We got a private family room as we travelled with our son. Rooms were great, staff very helpful. Communal kitchen was useful as we ate a lot of food in our rooms. The open lounge is also great to have a beer and reflect over the day. The large onsen downstairs was great while there are private ones as well.... More

arriving at k's house ito onsen feels like stepping into a japanese fairytale: the hostel is located in an old traditional japanese house which means loads of wood, tatami mats, sleeping on futons an bathing in onsen. the architecture itself is absolutely stunning and creates a wonderful laid back atmosphere. I stayed in a 5 person female dorm, which was... More

I stayed over here for one night in a single Japanese room with a river view. Not too far from the station and it is value to stay. The staff speaks english fluently and it is easily for communication. However, Wifi didn't work and I cannot connect to the internet when I stayed here.

My friend and I stayed in the 5 bed, female dorm for one night. Masao, at the front desk, was super friendly and helpful. The facilities themselves are very nice - everything is very clean and very well maintained. The historical building was very beautiful! It had all of the charm of traditional Japan along with plenty of modern amenities.... More

Just wonderful. A must to come and spend time if you are visiting tokyo. It is calm, has a fantastic river view., therefore I suggest you to book a room with river view so that you can "listen to" the river while sleeping and watch fishes while sitting in the balcony. Howeveer, there is a river so that there are... More

I stayed at K's for 5 nights, and they were a blast. This hostel has everything going for it in terms of value for money, picturesque views (the river below is so tranquil that you can stay there for a day purely for that), the onsen is available 24/7, the rooms are neat and tidy with great views, the staff... We had a wonderful stay at K's House in the private Japanese room. It slept 5 comfortably and had a great view over the river. The staff were friendly and helpful and we were lucky enough to be there for the tub race held on the 6th July. The staff arranged for us to enter in the tub race and... More
