The hotel is a traditional Japanese style ryokan and the interior decor is full of charming detail. The room is a nice size and clean. The owner is really nice and provided us with lots of excellent information on the local area. The staff is friendly and provide wonderful service. The food is delicious and features local delicacies. The onsen... More

The best word to describe my experience in staying at Yokikan was "Excellent!" Yokikan is just a short walk from the heart of downtown Ito, but since I had been traveling much of the day to get to Ito I took a cab from Ito Station to the Ryokan. The front desk immediately reimbursed me for the cab! Multiple staff... More

Our trip to Japan would have been incomplete without our stay in Yokikan. We were 2 families with small children and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Japanese traditional style inn. The owner Akihisa is like all Japanese thorough gentleman. It was pouring when we reached the station. Free pick up was arranged. Once we lost our way back to inn,... More

A fantastic experience for me and my wife staying in this Ryokan even for 1 night. The dinner and breakfast is fabulous. The onsen is outstanding and the staff are trained to the very best is service. We wish to recommend this Ryokan to whoever wishes to see Izu/Ito area. Cheers.

I love the dinner and breakfast. There were the miso soup with a lobster in it and the abalone for dinner. The osen was very good. There is a specific time where the male and the female are to be swop osen rooms. Unfortunately at the time I got there, the cable car to the osen at the top of... More

We were surprisingly that every staff in the hotel is nice and helpful, especially the Managing Director, Mr Akihisa and his wife. They recommended a lot of dining places to us so that we could taste the good food. Even if we don't know Japanese, we could still communicate with the staff in body language and got the best service.... More

On our last night at Ito Japan, we were greeted by the friendly owner MrAkihisa Inaba. A very comfortable stay at this Yokikan. We enjoyed the Onsen, both indoor as well as the outdoor one at 5th level, beautiful scenery as you soaped in the hot Onsen. Breakfast was served in the room n we really enjoyed it. A great... More

My husband and I stayed there a few weeks ago for 2 days during our honeymoon and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel building itself was quirky and interesting, especially the funicular that takes you to the outdoor springs. Food was yummy with fabulous presentation , although you'd need to like seafood to enjoy it.... More

If you believe hospitality is the most precious gift in the trip, you must try Yokikan, Ito, Japan. Living experience there could be our best memory during our family reunion tour last week. It is a family owned boutique resort. We appreciate Japanese heritage from its garden, interior room decoration, spring pool and cuisine. However, they are all hardwares. Many... More

Not that difficult to find the hotel from Ito station(about 10 min).Great hospitality & clean & comfortable room with great Japanese style breakfast prepared by a maid.if you want to enjoy the spa whether indoors or outdoors you should pay for it but cheap. You can get the a free ride to the station when check-out. Good good good~~!!!!
