We were taken there by Japanese friends. It is a older hotel and most of the staff were older as well. There is a huge, fantastic hot spring bath area downstairs with the hot water flowing from pool to pool with various temperatures in each pool. The rough rocky separations can be hard on tender feet. Conveniently located, Atami is an hour away from Tokyo. The price here is not that expensive, but you will see that the building is rather old. Probably over 30 years old? One of the classic honeymoon hotels when Japan was enjoying the economic boom. Rooms are a little bit shabby, waitresses are very frank... friendly. Everyone working there are old... More

This hotel is by far the worst place i have ever stayed. The marketing is false advertisement on the internet (picture, discription etc) Staying at this hotel was the worst experience of my Japanese holiday. The service (particularly the man on the front reception) was incredibly rude, check out was at 10am and at 9.50am we recieved rude and abrupt... More
