Still a slightly dated but comfortable hotel about a ten minute walk from the train station. What made this a great experience was the staff - it was raining so very quick to find me an umbrella, front desk very helpful, lots of smiles and advice. Maybe a slightly expensive hotel for this region but still good value. There is... More

less than a 10 minutes walk from the station this hotel offers a really great "price/earning"-ratio. Rooms are large (for Japan), breakfast buffet has a great variety of Western and Japanese food, staff is friendly, even if their English is a little limited. Where to eat there in the district - I don`t know, because nearby ( as some guests... More

This fully renovated hotel offered an outstanding deal for a twin room including breakfast for 11.000 for 2 PAX even on a Friday evening before a 3-day holiday. I consider this a more than reasonable pricing especially thinking about the comfort, space and services offered. Staff is local and missing international understanding but still everybody is trying very hard to... More

10minute walk from the station. Close to the shopping centres (5mins) and 7eleven or family mart. Plenty of taxis on hand. Close to the river. Room size was great and all rooms have a view of the river, particular if you get a higher floor.

We only stayed for one night, and this hotel was fine for our short stay. Room was clean, with a nice view of the river and surrounding town. If you like your air conditioning ice cold, then you will be disappointed, but we were starting to get accustomed to the humidity in Japan, so the room temperature was adequate. Either... More

A decent hotel standing in the quiet little city of Niigata. Room size is quite small with a medium size bath-tub. Walking distance to Aeon supermarket and several convenience shops. There's a 24hours Mcdonald in front of the hotel. Niigata train station is approximately 1.5km away.

We went to Niigata for the first time in late April and researched online for hotels. We decided to try the Ana Crowne hotel and it was spacious, very clean and close to the University of Niigata. The staff did not speak English, but made every effort to make us feel welcome. There is also a branch of McDonald's that... More

Another very typical Crown Plaza property with some pretensions to better things; rather better restaurants than usual for this chain. Rooms are fine if tired but I struggled to get the temperature right. Bathrooms OK. Good breakfast buffet. Internet is Ethernet. Don't eat in the hotel, there are many good restaurants nearby and quite some nightlife.

Overall the hotel is very average. The lobby is the nicest feature and the rooms are clean but about average. There is an overall lack of true understanding of the English language despite the close proximity to the international airport. Wireless Internet in the hotel is horrible and this is the main reason I will not return to the hotel.... More

Just finishing two nights at the ANA Crown Plaza Niigata. My room, 803, is a very comfortable twin (great pillows, or is it the sheets? something is very silky) and the room is larger than most I usually end up with in Japan. Couldn't find wifi in my room but there is a LAN cable to connect the old way... More
