Totally agree with JerryC1976 that June and John were gracious hosts, warm and friendly. We love the breakfast prepared by June especially the pumpkin pancakes. It is so delicious that we asked for her recipe. Everyday clean room and towels. James & Lucy

We stayed overnight at the Halcyon Farm B&B while preparing for a 10 day/3000 mile rv trip. The rooms are spectacular and the Inn Keeper are incredibly helpful and gracious. Don't skip the breakfast! Such good food! We look forward to staying there again. Being far out in the country, the nights are incredibly dark and quiet. It was a... More

Okay, so it's a bit secluded; that's the beauty on Halcyon. Serene; a welcome change of scenery from the everyday grind. Loved roaming around the farm and reading the history of this retreat. Will of again.

June and John were gracious hosts, warm, friendly, and very accommodating. The room was spacious, meticulous, and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was large and appeared to be new. The grounds were beautiful and the room was very quiet. The farm breakfast was delicious. June made a breakfast appetizer that consisted of fresh blueberries, that she picked the day before, yogurt,... More

I was biking the Erie Canal bike trail and this particular bed and breakfast was one of the places we spent the night. After a long day of biking I walked into the room checked out the bathroom and BOOM. A tub worthy of the gods. They had FIVE DIFFERENT TYPES OF BUBBLES. And jets. Best bath of my entire... More

My husband and I made reservations at Howe Caverns and we found this place not too far away. The name was cute for me - since I am a nurse…Halcion is a drug used to help people sleep/relax. I thought the name was a cute reference to that and I was right! I slept very well, in a beautiful 4... More

My husband and I had to visit the area for personal reasons on an overnight We didn't want to stay in an undesirable or unfamiliar hotel, but also didn't want to pay a lot of money. I found the Halcyon B&B. It was wonderful! It was on a quiet yet accessible farm on the outskirts of town, it was reasonably... More

B&B is located on a farm about five miles outside Amsterdam. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished with a four poster bed. The breakfast was good with fresh fruits, home made french toasts and muesli.

Recently, my husband and I stayed at the Halcyon Farm B&B in Amsterdam, NY. We were in town to visit family and had trouble finding a hotel, when availability at this B&B popped up. We decided to give it a try, and boy am I glad we did. While we did not spend a ton of time at the B&B... More

We stayed at the Halcyon Farm last summer while cycling the Erie Canal from Buffalo to Albany. This inn advertised in the Cycling the Erie Canal Guidebook, and that is how we knew of the place. First of all, the inn is about 5 miles from the trail, up a huge hill. This is not a big deal if you... More

Thank you for your review. We do not advertise in the "Cycling the Erie Canal" guidebook. The guide has included us since we are relatively close to the trail at 5 miles from either Auriesville or Amsterdam. Our lodging is clearly labeled with a number "1" on the area map on page 88 and then listed by number on page... More
